The Videotek CMVS-DVI Compact Monitor and Signal Generator Package from Imagine Communications consists of the CMN-41-3GB and the VSG-401 mounted in the DRT-4 dual rackmount chassis. The CMN compact monitor and VSG-401 will support dual-link, 3G/HD/SD-SDI signal formats, and provide test signals and Black burst or Tri level sync to test the system signal path integrity. The CMN-41-3GB provides a DVI-D output to connect to any standard DVI-D monitor for display of waveform, vector, timing, audio, and other displays.

The VSG-401 provides four copies of the SDI test signal output with selectable format, frame rate and signal type, and up to 16 channels of embedded audio, with group enabled settings and global settings for amplitude and frequency. There are two AES outputs, with one output selectable as word clock or digital audio reference signal (DARS). Also included are two copies of the sync output selectable as blackburst or tri-level sync along with a looping reference input that accepts blackburst or tri-level sync. The test signal outputs on the VSG-401 allow source ID selection up to 19 characters. You can add continuous motion of a bouncing block to any test pattern except check field.

    The Videotek CMN-41-3GB Multiformat Onscreen Monitor from Imagine Communications tests signal quality across all DTV formats up to 3 Gbps. It features two 3 Gbps SDI inputs and one SDI output, and provides selectable waveform, vector, gamut, timing, and picture full-screen display. This compact monitor allows you to meter all 16 channels of embedded audio or one AES input. You can also view the waveform of the composite or tri-level external reference to verify signal integrity and customize the MLT display with independent size and position of waveform, vector and picture. A standard 11-17 VDC power input provides flexible powering for both fixed installations and field operation. Low power consumption allows the use of convection cooling for energy-saving, silent operation. The CMN-41-3GB can be mounted in either a dual rackmount tray or a standalone desktop case (sold separately). The unit has a compact half-rack footprint of approximately 7" deep.

  • VSG-401 Compact Video and Audio Signal Generator (1 RU, Half Rack)

    The 1RU Half-Rack VSG-401 Compact Video and Audio Signal Generator from Image Communications is a single channel SDI test generator with single-link and dual-link operation modes. You can select either four outputs for a single-link SDI 3 Gb/s, a single-link SDI 1.5 Gb/s, a single-link SDI 270 Mb/s, or two outputs of dual-link SDI (2 x 1.5 Gb/s). The unit can be externally referenced to color black (black burst) or to tri-level sync with user settings. This video and audio generator is used to test video format, frame rate, and signal type. It provides testing for up to 16 channels of embedded audio, with group enabled settings and global settings for amplitude and frequency.

    There are two AES outputs, with one output selectable as word clock or digital audio reference signal (DARS). You can add continuous motion of a bouncing block to any test pattern except check field, and the output of the test generator has a source ID function with user selection of nineteen characters.

    The VSG-401 is simple to operate, with an Ethernet port facilitating software updates and a built-in Web UI for web browser control. A 110/220 universal AC adapter provides the required DC voltage power input.
