Rollei Digibase CR200 Reviews

Digibase CR 200 PRO Color Transparency Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Unique film for special color effects Once upon a time AGFA made a slide film called AGFACHROME. It had a distinct low contrast color palette called Dutch Masters Painting. When AGFA went out of the film business in 2004 we lost this amazing emulsion. However AGFA is now manufacturing it again under the Rollei brand name. It can be cross processed as a negative film too. In which case it picks up about 1/2 stop of speed. Colors are muted, shifted to yellow with olive green shadows. It's unique and beautiful. It's also fairly grainy. It looks like a color film from the 1940s, which essentially it is. Don't expect it to be Fujichrome or Kodak Portra because it's not. The manufacturing quality of this product is VERY high. So no worries there as with other boutique films. Try at least one roll and see if it suits you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but Too Warm This film is a nice speed for slide film, but it does not captures colors true to life. Everything is extra warm through added yellow tones. In the sun it's very yellow. Shooting indoors or in cool light like a snowy blizzard it shows a slightly yellow but more Green tone. Nice film but not for me I hate warm colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AGFACHROME resurrected This is a wonderful and unique color film. It really works best when processed as E-6 transparency. Back in the 80s I fell in love with AGFACHROME slide film. It's a very warm tone, low contrast emulsion. Back then it was described as Dutch Masters color after the classic painting school. This film made for Rollei in the old AGFA factory is the same stuff discontinued almost 20 years ago. Colors are more muted but natural looking. Give this a try for a classic film look. There really is nothing else like it. Why wait for Kodak to shoot slide film? This has been around for years!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extreme Yellow I read about some people getting normal results from this film, and some getting results that appeared to have been shot through a deep yellow filter. Unfortunately, the one roll I shot was the latter. Purchased from B&H, developed at LTI along with a bunch of Provia that came back normal. The film itself is bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you like yellow then this film is a good choice I tested this film and it turned out to be very yellow - i brought back the other ones I bought of this type. Its not my cameras nor the labs fault, I worked with slide film a lot lately and other films didnt turn out this way. Sorry Rollei, one star for you which is the minimum.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was not what I thought it would be! You guys used to have a two-roll canister of something called digibase CN 200 I really liked that film. It was a NEGATIVE FILM. I asked the counter guy if this film was the same and he assured me multiple times that it was, just different packaging. This film was a POSITIVE film! I was so annoyed!
