XYZprinting 3F20AXUS00B Overview

Print in two colors of ABS up to a maximum build volume of 5.9 x 7.8 x 7.8" with the blue da Vinci 2.0 Duo 3D Printer from XYZprinting. Create detailed objects in resolutions as fine as 100 microns. Alternatively, choose the Ultra Fast speed setting to print your designs in 400-micron resolution when greater precision isn't required. The included XYZWare software will accept .3w files when sent via USB 2.0 cable from your computer.

The enclosed printing area both protects users from hot machinery during printing and maintains the high temperatures required for successful printing with ABS plastic. Filament is fed into the da Vinci from proprietary cartridges that can be refilled with more filament when empty.

The da Vinci 2.0 Duo ships fully assembled and, being plug-and-play, is ready to print out of the box. Also included with the da Vinci are two filament cartridges, a glue stick, and several post-production tools. It is compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I got the printer set up in the matter of only a few hours between un-boxing, calibrating and printing. There are a few small quirks about getting the calibrating exactly right to make sure that the print quality is good, but they were easy to work through. Currently, I use the printer for small projects, art or ideas for around the house. It has had about 30 hours of printing done on it within the first couple days that it was up and running. I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants the bang for the buck style printer.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Platform but not For Entry Level Users/ First, let me preface this review with the fact, I use 3D printers daily for my job. That being said, I thought this would be a wonderful integration into the home to introduce my family to what I use to create. Packaging was excellent, shipping actually faster than I was expecting, overall impressed with B&H as a first time buyer. However if this were your introduction to 3D printing you may find yourself letdown and stuck not being able to do anything with it. The Printer, Simply put, is not the perfect fit for someone without previous experience with 3D printing. I chose it because of Dual Extruder and build volume. It rivals the uPrint I use on a good day. Those that are looking to go dual extruder take note. Most people doing amazing things with this machine are using Simplify3D $150 software pkg, I'm not ready to buy just yet. In use: Lots of trial & error until you learn how to calibrate. That was most peoples gripes. It is possible to get .001 Success, but I do this for a living. If you get (err,err,err) go (up+left) on a dial until it throws a number, now you can work with that. Not a precision machine by any means but if you no what a scosche is you'll get it. Proprietary Carts: $30 a major concern (Like Ink-jet). The Stratasys I run cost $200+, So, I am Happy to pay $30 for that. XYZ website has re-fill Wednesday were you can buy a filament spool for $20 with a new chip and re-fill the Gas Can carrier, whats not to love about that. I've gotten so used to paying for Their Prices. Well their products work on my machines. When you factor it out, the XYZ filament costs 12.5 cents per meter, which is how the build volume calculates, so most of my project are around $1 max. Con: Learning Curve Steep I do this all week and at some points and times was very frustrated. Sometimes when you have the almost perfect .003 and tweak -.002 calibration (err,err,err)

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Full enclosure at a good price hands down the best value full enclosure dual nozzle 3d printer. decent build volume and nicely contained. A little bit too big in size, but this make the machine more sturdy.
