question

Is there a carrying case available that allows one to keep the top handle on while in the case? Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Our best guess as to the height of the C300 with handle is about 11 . If that is correct, the Porta Brace RIG-2SRK Rig Camera Case (Black) should do the trick.

question

How accurate is the autofocus tracking? If you start focused on a stationary subject (person) and then they begin to move in the scene, will the autofocus track with a subject like a running athlete?
Asked by: George
The Canon Dual Pixel Auto Focus is phenomenal. It will do what you wish to do.

question

I have a canon XL2S lens - Does that lens fit on this camera?
Asked by: William S D.
I'm sorry but we do not have an adapter in inventory that goes from the XL mount of the lens to the EF mount on the C300 Mark 2 body. The sensor on the C300 Mark 2 is much larger than that of the 1/3 sensors the XL lenses are meant to cover. Adapting the XL lenses to the Super 35mm sensor on the C300 Mark 2 will cause vignetting.

question

Can you suggest me a good ef to pl adapter for my canon c300 mark2 ef camera ??Is it okay if i use PL lenses with my canon 300 mark2 ef with pl adapter??
Asked by: Varun V.
We are sorry to say but there is no EF to PL adapter available. That is because they cannot exist in the same space; you can only have one or the other. If you wish, you can have your camera's EF mount permanently changed to PL by a qualified service technician.

question

Will the dual pixel CMOS AF technology feature work with non Canon lenses, for example the Sigma Art series of lenses?
Asked by: Ronald L.
Sigma 24/1.4 Art, 35/1.4 Art, 50/1.4 Art, 18-35/1.8 Art, 50-150/2.8 all works quite well with DPAF and other features on the C300mk2. Sigma 20/1.4 Art and 24-35/2.0 Art do not work at all. i.e. no iris control, no focus tools, no peripheral illumination compensation. Canon's Cinema EOS line is not supported by Sigma, so currently no plans for firmware upgrade. Per Sigma support.

question

i'd like to power this via v-mount system. what is the acceptable voltage range for the DC in? are there any battery solutions b&h recommends?
Asked by: Eric L.
The only batteries available at this time are a 14.4 V DC BP-A30 which is provided with the camcorder and the other optional, larger capacity battery is the BP-A60. These are the only batteries available at this time and they do not work with any other camera. The DC-IN is 16.7 V DC and the connection is a locking Lemo plug, no more pullouts and losing power during a take. At this time B&H does not have a v-mount plate with a voltage regulator and the correct plug for the C300 Mark II. However, the good news is that well respected IDX has announced they will be making a v-mount for the C300 Mark II. Please look for it here at B&H soon. Here is a link to the IDX web page for further information. http://idxtek.com/products/at-e2cmkii/
