- Defocus Image Control
- Super Integrated Coating
A medium telephoto prime with unique capabilities, the Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2D is an ideal lens for portraiture due to its Defocus Image Control function along with its bright maximum aperture. The DC feature allows you to control the degree and placement of blur in an image, with the ability to make subjects stand out from the background or blur the foreground. The fast f/2 maximum aperture also contributes to depth of field control as well as benefits working in low-light conditions. Benefitting image quality, individual elements feature a Super Integrated Coating that controls flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity when working in bright and backlit conditions. Additionally, a rear focusing system promotes faster, more responsive focusing performance and maintains the overall lens length during use.

Can this lens be used with the Z7 mirrorless with FTZ adapter. Will the auto focus function work?
Yes, one can use the Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2D Lens attached to Nikon Z7 body using the FTZ adapter, allowing for manual focus only.. The auto focus function will not work when a Nikon D lens is attached to the FTZ adapter, because the Nikon Z7 body does not have a focusing motor built in, the FTZ adapter does not have a motor built in, and all the Nikon D lenses do not have a focusing motor built in.

If I buy this lens will my 85mm 1.4G be jealous?
If I buy this lens will my 85mm 1.4G be jealous?
No. There are greater chances that 85mm 1.4 will be laughing... You will still prefer 85 mm 1.4 for it's speed, fast autofocus and resolving power to the modern sensors... The only gain you will get is focal length ..
