    Meade 608052 reviews

Binocular Tripod Adapter is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and inexpensive - plus... the missing data I'm not sure what all one can say about a tripod mount for binoculars. It works. Actually, this one seems very sturdy for its size. Other than that, the main reason for posting this review is to offer some information that the manufacturer was too lazy to provide. For those who want to know the scale of the thing: The bracket is 3-21/32 inches (93 mm) tall. The distance from the base to the 1/4-20 screw that affixes the binoculars is 3-3/8 inches (86 mm). This will give you some idea of where your binoculars will sit. The knob to tighten the mount to the binoculars is just under a half inch in diameter, about 12 mm - large enough to easily turn, but not so large as to interfere with the lens barrels on a medium-sized pair of binoculars. The egg-shaped base is approximately 1-7/16 x 1-13/16 inches (36.6 x 46.2 mm). It has a rubber pad on the bottom to keep it from rotating on the tripod. The unit is well balanced. When I attached my binoculars to it and set the mount on a table, they stood up by themselves. So therefore, the center of gravity for the mounting screw is well placed over the base. This enhances the overall stability. I guess the only downside is that the mount is made in China. I'm not totally opposed to items made in China as long as they are well made. This item is well made. I would prefer to support products made in the USA, but I'm sure that would raise the price enough that they could not compete with the other tripod mounts offered here. Hopefully, this information will be of some use to someone. It's quite a bit. I only wanted to know how tall the mount was myself. But if I'm going to the trouble of measuring the thing, it didn't take much longer to get all the dimensions. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this tripod mount.
