Designed for audio and video professionals, the 500GB AVpro mkII 2.5" Solid State Drive from Angelbird is a 2.5" internal solid state drive with a capacity of 500GB. It helps to ensure fast read and write performance and overall stability to allow you to quickly store and access files such as music, movies, photos, documents, and more.

With solid state drive technology, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with.

The Angelbird 500GB AVpro mkII 2.5" Solid State Drive features a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface that will also work when connected to a SATA II 3 Gb/s interface. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Angelbird Warranty is Non-Existent Bought this drive and didn't use it until after the return period. Upon first use the drive died. I had registered the drive with Angelbird the day I received it so I went back and checked my account and it said I have a 3 year warranty with them. Problem... there is no way to contact them with the exception of their out of the US Phone number and there is an 9 hour difference between me and them. I've emailed them multiple times with no answer. I've searched their site for warranty information and a form to use for help but there is nothing. I will never buy another Angelbird drive from them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an awesome drive Hi all, I bought two of these drives last month. And I have been so happy with the quality of this drive. I used to have OWC drives in my Shogun. But after a power failure (me not watching the battery life!!) I killed the drive and also my day of shooting. And of course since this drive have a UPS build in (Host Power Loss Protection) I decided to try this in a safe envoirement at home. So While I was recording I pulled out the drive. And after putting it in my reader all my files where still accessible. Also Before I did this I asked the people from Angelbird if I would get a new one if it did break ;-) Also I noticed with my OWC drive I had a lot of spikes in my writing speed during the recording. So I noticed this when I was missing some frames in post. I tried again the same with this drive with an AJA speed test. But over the entire recording the writing speed was always the same. Angelbird calls this: Stable Stream Technology. And it works great!!! No more frame loss specially on 4K. I am recording on a Sony A7S together with the Atomos Shogun. and what a perfect combo it is. So again what an awesome and reliable drive!!! Thanks Angelbird for your service as well!!!
