This BV10 head has gap on pan drag step 1. This is basic function for video head. I don’t understand these five star reviews.

CAN'T IMAGINE IT GETTING MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!

I bought this for a BMPC 4K camera that's rigged out at around 20 pounds. This baby was PERFECT for that camera and weight! The counter balance worked out phenomenally and the smoothness of panning and tilting is incredible! My ONLY complaint is that Benro has not added the illuminated level bubble to this unit. All of the other, less expensive Benro tripods have them.

All that I needed

I took a long time to dcide which tripod to buy for my C300 Mark II. Actually you can see my question on the Q&A section. Now after some months using the Benro BV10 I got to say that is a sturdy and fluid tripod. It works great, and comparing it with other tripods with the same specs is a great option in terms of value.

Nice head, but legs are severely lacking.

The fluid head was a nice upgrade from my S8; really no complaints there. But I hate these legs! I've had this set less than a year and I'm already looking to trade up for either Manfrotto or Sachtler legs. The legs have a ton of play and so they need constant re-tightening. Almost every time I am on a shoot and trying to level the head, the legs will shift or wiggle, throwing off the level, then I have to waste time tightening them, only for them to loosen again a few shots later. The legs are just not up to professional standards, plain and simple. If you are looking to buy, I would highly recommend buying the head only and buying separate legs.

Is the mid spreader removable?

Yes, but the legs don’t lock at any point, and if you’re planning to use it low as a hi hat, just know it wont easily stabilize

In the Benro BV10 Twin-Leg Aluminum Tripod Kit, the included tripod head is the Benro BV10H, but are the included tripod legs the Benro A674TM tripod legs?
Asked by: Andrew
While the tripod is very close to the A674TM it is not the exact same product. Benro does not offer the legs from their kits with heads for separate purchase.

question

Is it normal for the fluid head to make a clicking sound internally every time you adjust the drag up or down?
Asked by: Rory
It is perfectly normal to hear clicks or pops when you are adjusting a video head as the pieces inside align with themselves. What you do not want is any sound once you are recording.

question

Besides the 2kg difference in load capacity, are there any other major or key differences between the BV8 and BV10? Will I be sacrificing more than just load capacity? Is the BV10 just overall better-made?
Asked by: Stefan
Also, BV 10 has a 100mm bowl, which adds to being a bit more stable in my opinion. A downside to the BV8 and BV10, although more expensive and capable then the BV6, is that the level is not illuminated on the 8 and 10, where it is on the 6.

question

I have a Canon C300 Mark 2. Do you think this tripod is a good enough option?
Asked by: Fernando
I use it with a RED Weapon and have used it with a BM Cinema and it handles the weight fine. I picked this tripod after spending a few hours in the store trying out similar options from multiple manufacturers. It seemed to be the best option even against a few products priced a bit higher.Have been very happy with it.
