Fast and wide, the XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR is a 24mm-equivalent wide-angle lens designed specifically for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. Two aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements are featured in the optical design, and help to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. Both a Nano-GI coating and HT-EBC coating are also used to control ghosting and flare for enhanced contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. Complementing the optics is a floating focus system that benefits autofocus speed and also maintains consistent performance throughout the focusing range. Additionally, the lens body is also weather-sealed to support working in trying environmental conditions.

FUJIFILM XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR Reviews
Great lens, but same old gripe!
The aperture ring detents are 'way too soft, and the ring slips out of the A position in a gentle breeze. I may be the ten thousandth person to complain about this easily fixed drawback to an otherwise stellar prime lens - so why doesn't Fuji catch on?
the pinnacle of the Fujifilm line
the best lenses in every way you use it. closeup, wide, general... Sharp(!), great bokeh, colors, rendition. fast, not too heavy... just great . a most have.
Absolutely fabulous piece of glass
This lens has rave reviews all across the internet and there is good reason. The image quality is probably the best amongst the Fujifilm X-series lenses, even though the lens is older than most. With the new 18mm f/1.4 out now, it was a tough choice but I ended up picking the 16mm as its a tad bit wider than the focal length available on most mobile phones and I do not regret my choice. The AF speed is definitely slower than the newer 18mm lens (but probably on par with the 56mm f/1.2) and it shows clearly when trying to photograph pets or children.
Well built and tac sharp
Functions smoothly on a solid build. Haven't used it excessively yet but early indications lead me to believe I will very soon. Appears to track well with my XT-4.Color is great and images are tac sharp. Very nice addition to my bag!
Used for four years
I have owned this lens for over four years and use it for 95% of the photographs I take. Great for confined spaces and night photography. No complaints. very happy with it.
A keeper!
This lens is one of Fujifilm’s best! Love the focus clutch to shift from auto to manual focus. It is not stabilized, so good shooting technique and watching the shutter speed is needed. Great build and very sharp.
great lens
very clear and precise images
This lens deserves the love and admiration it receives
This lens makes me want to take more pictures. When I come back from taking pictures I eagerly await the magic it places into the SD card.
