question

Any idea if these will fit the stock Godox Ad600 Bowens Mount 7 reflectors?
Asked by: Nick
No, the Phottix 7 Honeycomb Grid Set, B&H # PH82324, are not compatible for use with the Godox Reflector for AD600Pro Flash, B&H # GOADR9, included with the Godox AD600Pro Witstro All-In-One Outdoor Flash. You would have to purchase either the Godox Standard Reflector with Diffuser, B&H # GOSTDREFL, the Phottix Studio Light Reflector, B&H # PH01270, or the Photoflex Standard 7 Reflector for StarFlash, B&H # PHR7SSF, all which would be compatible for your planned usage needs.

question

I have an Alien Bee 1600 and the light came with a 7-inch Reflector. I'm wondering if these fit that reflector? Has anyone used this on the Alien Bee system? Thanks in advance.
Asked by: Toan
While these grids could fit the 7 reflector on an Alien Bees monolight, there are no tests that we are aware of that confirm this to be the case. Your results may vary.

question

Are these grids actually 30 through 60, or 10 through 40? I ask because all the other sets from other brands (e.g. Impact) are 10 through 40. And, by looking at the product images and counting the cells across a row, they are the same (e.g. Impact 10-degree vs Phottix 30-degree). Could it be that these Phottix grids are thicker than other brands? I know that thickness does affect the spread. Thanks.
Asked by: Ricky
Hey Ricky,The degrees are tagged on each grid as 30, 40, 50, and 60. The tag on the bag says the same. I never thought to compare the grids but I have a Speedotron 7 40 degree grid and the Speedotron honeycomb is a larger, looser pattern. The 40 degree Photix pattern is denser.
