The 3Dconnexion CadMouse features seven buttons including a dedicated middle mouse button. This button is easier to press than the scroll wheel to perform a middle button click, which enables you to be more productive. With 3Dconnexion's QuickZoom, you can quickly zoom in and out of web pages, images, and more by using the thumb buttons located on the side. Furthermore, the gesture button lets you open an application or an environmental-specific radial menu while working in your favorite software application.

This CadMouse is outfitted with a 6.6' braided USB cable and includes 3DxWare 10 software that allows you to customize the CadMouse for peak performance. To click exactly where you need to, it has a laser sensor that features a DPI of 8200 and a polling rate up to 1000 Hz. Moreover, it's equipped with optimally shaped PTFE feet pads that virtually glide over the surface you are working on.

Intelligent Ergonomic Design
The CadMouse features a physical middle mouse button that is similar to a standard left and right click mouse button. This dedicated middle button provides a more comfortable and convenient way to press than the scroll wheel on a typical mouse. Furthermore, this mouse offers a matte black and steel ergonomic design that supports your right hand in a comfortable and natural position.
Zoom Features
With 3Dconnexion's QuickZoom, you can effortlessly zoom in and out of your geometry with a single click of a thumb button. In addition to the thumb button, the Smart Scroll wheel delivers precise click-to-click zooming in CAD applications or speedy scrolling with inertia effects in browsers and documents.
8200 DPI Laser Sensor
With 8200 dpi and a poll rate up to 1000 Hz (responsiveness of 1 millisecond), you'll click exactly where you need to, when you need to.
Access to Your Favorite Commands
The gesture button opens an application or environment-specific radial menu so you can access your favorite commands with a simple mouse gesture.
Quiet as a Mouse
The 3Dconnexion CadMouse has optimally shaped PTFE feet that create the least static friction and result in near-silent operation.
3DxWare 10
This software program allows you to customize and optimize your 3Dconnexion CadMouse for peak performance by tailoring settings and buttons to your application and needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from large mouse This is a very nice mouse but it is pretty large, largest mouse I have owned. It works very well. Takes a little to get used to the finger spacing but having a real middle button is very nice it CAD applications. If your hands are not large, I would recommend the cordless version which is somewhat smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works with my Mac 3DConnexion has new software on their website to allow this mouse to work with a Mac. It works fine with my late 2013 Macbook Pro. I do have to start the program through the Finder and not the Launchpad to get it to work. The mouse is large but comfortable. I was able to use the software to assign custom functions to the buttons (such as zoom in and out).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Is this product even usable? I have been using 3D-Connexion 3D mouse (Space Explorer) for few years now and I am very satisfied with it. So when I ordered this CAD Mouse of the same company, 3D-Connexion, I had high hopes. I bought it because it claimed high sensitivity useful for CAD. But unfortunately, it comes with major software/configuration flaw - the right-click button is disabled in Windows desktop, windows explorer, etc. The mouse configuration software does not give such option. I am so used to do the right-click in so many places in Windows (examples: right-click on Windows Start button to get to shut-down/restart or Windows explorer commands, right-click on directory name in Windows explorer to kick off DOS prompt here, etc etc.) The mouse hardware may be good, I dont know. But why would some one disable a button? It does seem possible to configure right-click for some applications, but not for Windows, desktop or windows explorer, etc. Hence sent back immediately. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Like everything else from 3DConnexion, this thing is excellent. The software lets you customize the mouse to suite your needs, and it detects the program you're working in for custom the buttons for each. Comfortable, weighted nicely and accurate, this is money well spent.
