Strum GS-2 from Applied Acoustics Systems is an acoustic guitar modeling instrument featuring a collection of steel and nylon guitars, automatic chord recognition, sophisticated chord voicing, and integrated strumming and picking action that easily enables playing guitar on a keyboard. The software presents a collection of nylon and steel string guitars of various sizes, available in pick- or finger-sounding colors. Down- and up-strokes, slides and bends, hammer-on and pull-offs, palm muting, muffled strings and arpeggios are all part of Strum GS-2's playing technique vocabulary.
There are over 100 presets ranging from standard acoustic guitars to experimental sounds. Each preset can be further enhanced by utilizing the compression, limiting, EQ, and multi-effects including chorus, delay, phaser, flanger, distortion, notch filter, wah-wah, auto-wah, and reverb. Additionally, Strum GS-2 offers over 400 MIDI loops organized in 58 packs with styles including Country, Folk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Pop and RnB. Controls include where the playing position is on the neck and strumming speed, while micro adjustments can also be made string by string.
