Are the ports isolated from each other using separate NICs?

The ports are part of a switch on the router. It is a fully configurable switch however so you can isolate each port either by VLAN or setting them to be independent ports.

Can this take the place of a failed Ubiquity Unifi USG as a firewall?
Asked by: Ole
The Ubiquiti Networks ER-X does offer firewall functionality, although whether it can be integrated into your network in place of previous equipment would depend on the other devices comprising the network. It would be best to consult a Ubiquiti-certified network specialist to ensure the compatibility and security of all network components.

question

Which wireless access point would you recommend to pair this with? Thank you
Asked by: Moshe d.
Any access point will work. If you want to stay in the Ubiquiti family, the latest generation UAP-AC devices have a good price-to-feature/performance ratio. Depending on your environment and client devices, a certain set of AP's might be better for you... If you have a lot of 3x3 MIMO devices and need the higher bandwidth, the UAP-AC-Pro might be best; for a low-density of clients, the UAP-AC-LR might be better, because of it's improved reception due to the fractal antenna; otherwise, the UAP-AC-Lite would be a cost-effective choice.
