Using a variety of sensors and programming, the Captur Pro Module from Hahnel can set up your camera to take time-lapse photos, capture high speed objects, shoot wildlife when it walks into view, and more. It comes with light and sound sensors, works with lasers, and a dedicated IR module is included. Also, it has an auxiliary port for attaching additional sensors. The shutter release can be programmed for timed sequences and capture modes, including AF, single and continuous shooting, and bulb. Digital Channel Matching allows for fast wireless connection of up to 328' with a Captur system.

The Captur Pro Module will work wirelessly with the Captur system (available separately) or it can be directly connected to a camera with a 2.5mm release cable, available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Olympus/Panasonic (also available separately).

Light captures sudden changes in light levels which is ideal for lightning and fireworks. It can be set to trigger the camera or flash when the light level goes above or below a certain level.
Sound sensor will trigger a camera or flash when it detects a sound, such as glass shattering or a balloon popping.
Laser sensor works with an optional pointer to detect when something breaks the beam. Useful for things like water droplets.
IR sensor can be set to trigger when something breaks the beam which is useful for wildlife and sports photography as well as water droplets.
Time-lapse photography can be programmed for taking multiple photographs over a long period of time.
Long exposures can be set with timing set in bulb mode of certain cameras.
Shutter release button with autofocus, single and continuous shooting, and bulb mode support.
Connects wirelessly to camera with the use of separately available Captur system.
Connects directly to a camera with a release cable. Specific cables are separately available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Olympus/Panasonic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Glad I Bought This I used this product every way I can think of. Straight out of the box, it worked, and worked perfectly. The learning curve was a fraction of the Hahnel Gigi Pro II I have, but still use. After a shoot with two cameras, and desperately needing another trigger, I went searching for the perfect product for my 'style'. I have tried other brands, but am continually impressed with the build, quality, and results I get with Hahnel products. I would buy this again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, easy to use remote trigger. Note, to use this wireless, you need to purchase the Captur transmitter / transmitters for however many flashes you wish to use

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2.5 mm female slot breaks easily I shoot professionally and like the IR trigger on the Captur Pro Module. It is a bit fickle at times when the sun is hitting the sensor. I found that using a rubber band and some shade help to keep it functioning. I have purchased three units at one time, so I could have multiple cameras firing at one location. Two of the three units are broken and unusable after only a few uses. The problem is the same on both units. The plastic female 2.5 mm slot for the trigger easily breaks. Although, I have purchased all of these units in the past year. My initial complaint about this issue was after 3 months. So, BH Photo referred me to Hahnel, Hahnel referred me to their US distributor RTS. I shipped both units back to RTS for repair or replacement a month ago and have not heard anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product!! Used the Module Pro this last weekend for taking photos of bats in flight at night at a remote location. I was worried that with the IR beam being fairly narrow, I wouldn't get a lot of shots, but I got around 270 shots each night over just a couple of hours, so plenty to work with. I bought the Module Pro, one receiver and the cable to fit my camera. I used a different brand of transmitter/receiver set that I already had to sync two flashes. I will be buying the Captur transmitter/receiver set and an extra receiver to complete the set-up in the near future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flashes too soon The IR beam was useless, manufacturer said to purchase a laser, which I did. Despite several messages back and forth they couldn't resolve the problem of the flash firing long before the shutter opened; the light was gone before the picture was taken. I couldn't take a picture of my static hand in front of the lens let alone a falling drop. The whole process failed despite dozens of hours of good faith effort. Too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hahnel Captur Pro Does What It Is Suppose Too Two adjustments make the Hahnel Captur Pro great. You can adjust sensitivity and delay. Sensitivity can be adjusted to set how loud a sound must be to trigger the unit or how intense the light must be to trigger it. Couple this with the millisecond delay necessary to get the moving object in the right place for your photograph and the unit becomes very functional. In addition to the Sound and Light triggers the Laser beam and IR sensors seem to work well in my test applications. You must provide the laser however -- any laser seems to work. I have not yet tried the long exposure or interval features except to assure that the settings work. They appear to work as designed. The unit is ruggedly built with a removable rubber cover and comes with a separate IR generator. It's interesting to fire the camera with the flash instead of firing the flash with the camera. I'm using a Nikon D810 which works great with the Hahnel unit Setting up speeding objects works better if you stop them in darkness with a short duration flash which fires the camera and is better than trying to stop the object in full light with a fast shutter. It's a professional unit that I would certainly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to work as advertised Bought it to shoot lightning. Haven't had a chance to try it in a real-world situation, but I ran some tests on it and it seems to work just fine. I tested the light sensor, the sound sensor and the time lapse feature. I did not test the laser or the IR sensors. I also tested using it as a remote shutter release. The only negative is that the instructions are not very helpful. So I went online for more help and the info online is just as bad. Fortunately the unit is not too complicated, so I was able to figure it out myself after about 45 minutes. If you're smarter than me, maybe you'll figure it out faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive for the price Out of the box first impressions and tests proved to be impressive. For the price, this product not only works but works well. I compared the hahanel to the Nero Miops Nt and found the hahnel Captur Pro to be superior. The rubber housing that surrounds the plastic casing is a good addition and makes it feel solid and protected. ...An addition that the Nero Miops NT should follow. The Aux input is very nice and has the ability to control the hold of the shutter ...OR... delay the shutter. That is a VERY good option that makes this trigger sensor/intervalometer combination a very powerful device. While the Nero Miops only allows for delay of signal but no holding of the signal. Overall, the hahnel Captur Pro has more options than the the Nero and doesn't feel cheap like the Nero Miops NT feels. The menu system is very easy to use...especially considering all the options and various options that it accommodates. It even has 2 levels of interval shooting options. The screen is nicely lit and floats thru each action as it is performed - nice, but I do wish the whole unit was smaller and more compact even if it made the screen smaller (...also, how about using smaller batteries to make it more compact?). The only negative is that I wish the manual had more information...specially with regard to the AUX mode. But, that negative is probably being petty because the manual is well done... it is just that it does not provide enough information and the web site does not seem to pick up on this detailed information shortfall. As a side note: If you own a Edelkrone action module... you can use this device to produce Exposure Bracketing (HDR) shots with this device if you plug the Edelkrone Action Module into the AUX input with a 2.5 male and 3.5 Male connection cable (called a juicedLink 9 STEREO MINIJACK CABL MALE/3.5-2.5MM on the B and H site). This advantage can be of tremendous value to Edelkrone users. I have not field tested any of the sound or light sensitivity or effectiveness in real world conditions - yet... but, so far based on my tests I would highly recommend this device... especially when you consider the price and the many options it offers. It is a well thought out device with lots of options which makes it flexible for many shooting options....Very happy with this purchase.... will be buying two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job , no wires included Really well made piece of photography gear. Looks and feels top notch. But the cable is missing which lead to more waiting time , included cable didnt work with both the canon 7dm2 and the 5ds.
