Soundcraft Mini Stagebox 32 Overview

The Soundcraft Mini Stagebox 32 offers a simple and low cost solution for expanding the I/O capabilities of any of the Vi or Si range of consoles, whether that I/O is needed locally or hundreds of meters away on the stage. The Mini Stagebox 32 requires only 3U of rack space, yet provides 32 recallable mic/line inputs and 8 balanced line outputs with 4 pairs of AES outputs for a total I/O capacity of 32 inputs and 16 outputs, all lifted directly from the Vi1 and the larger Compact Stagebox.

The Mini Stagebox 32 comes fitted with a single-cable Cat 5 MADI HD interface for connection to the host console using an approved Cat 5 cable (not included). If required, this MADI HD interface card can be upgraded (sold separately) to either redundant (dual-cable) Cat 5 or redundant (dual-fibre) optical fiber with the compatible MADI HD interface card.

Connects to any of the Soundcraft Si Expression, Si Compact, Si Performer, Si Series and Vi Series consoles via a MADI card fitted to the option card slot.
Requires only 3U of rack space and provides 32 recallable mic/line inputs and 8 balanced line outputs.

This is a great upgrade of the 16 channel model. Everything works flawlessly and as desired. The only issue, more of an annoyance, is that it is a double row version of the 16 channel box. It has 2 rows of 16 (1-16 on each) and marked as A and C. When patching on the Soundcraft SI Performer 2 it shows the box as section A 1-16 and section C as 17-32. Only problem this really causes is when the people on stage are calling out channel 12 and you have to ask section A or C. If it is C then 12 is actually 24 on the board display. Not really a big deal. Just slows down the process of setup in a rushed situation.

In order to use the Soundcraft Mini Stagebox 32 for Soundcraft Mixer Consoles with the Soundcraft Si Expression 2 or 3 Digital Mixers, you will need to have a Soundcraft MADI card fitted to the option card slot such as the Soundcraft Single-Mode Optical MADI I/O Card for Si Series Consoles (B&amp;H # SO5019983V) or the Soundcraft MADI-USB Combo Option Card for Si Series Consoles (B&amp;H # SOMADIUSBCMB).
