  • 1Description

The 16-channel DANTE-16 Dante Network System from myMix is designed to feed up to 16 audio channels from a Dante network to a myMix system. This system includes an IEX16L-A 16-channel Input Expander and a Focusrite RedNet 3 Digital Audio Interface. You can expand this interface to 32 channels by adding a second IEX16L-A.

The IEX16L-A allows connection of up to 16 balanced line-level signals, which can be fed from devices such as mixing consoles and external microphone pre-amps. The IEX16L-A comes with two 8-channel ADAT inputs that can be activated individually. This allows usage of 16 line level sources or 8 line level sources and 8 ADAT inputs, or 16 ADAT inputs on a single IEX-16L-A expander.

The RedNet 3 is a remote controlled, 32-channel input/output ADAT digital audio interface that uses the Dante networking system to transfer studio-quality sound in modern audio applications. The 16 ADAT optical ports support 32 digital channels in and out, even at 96 kHz using S-MUX2. The unit also includes support for 8 channels of AES/EBU and 2 channels of S/PDIF digital audio I/O, and allows the RedNet system to be synchronized to incoming signal clock or a Wordclock source.

The RedNet system was designed for use in a wide range of audio settings including live sound rigs, multi-room recording studios, houses of worship, audio distribution installations, and post production environments. RedNet 3 can be used as a means of converting 32 channels of digital audio between formats and delivering them somewhere else on the network at near-zero latency. Sample rate conversion is available on the AES and S/PIDF inputs.

  • IEX-16L-A 16-Channel Input Expander for myMix Systems

The myMix IEX-16L-A 16-Channel Input Expander comes with two DB25 connectors and allows connection of up to 16 balanced line-level signals that can be fed from devices such as mixing consoles or external microphone pre-amps. The IEX16L-A comes with two 8-channel ADAT inputs that can be activated individually. This allows usage of 16 line level sources or 8 line level sources and 8 ADAT inputs, or 16 ADAT inputs on a single IEX-16L-A expander.

Multiple IEX-16L expanders can be used in a myMix network. The IEX-16L-A can be configured using any myMix device on the network or the optional myMix CONTROL software, including input channel naming and stereo linking. The configuration is stored automatically in the IEX-16L-A. The optional myMix CONTROL software allows uploading/downloading of complete settings for the IEX-16L-A expander. The expander can be locked by connecting a myMix to the CONFIG port, or via the myMix CONTROL. The CONFIG ports provide all the data but no audio. It can also be used to connect the myMix CONTROL network interface (myMIx PLUG).

  • RedNet 3 - Dante Equipped 32-Channel Digital Audio Interface

RedNet 3 from Focusrite is a remote controlled, thirty-two channel input/output ADAT digital audio interface that uses the Dante networking system to transfer studio quality sound between any modern audio application. The sixteen ADAT optical ports support thirty-two digital channels in and out, even at 96 kHz using S-MUX2. The unit also includes support for eight channels of AES/EBU and two channels of S/PDIF digital audio I/O and allows the RedNet system to be synchronized to incoming signal clock or a Wordclock source .

The RedNet system was designed for use in multiple audio applications, from live sound rigs to multi-room recording studios, houses of worship, audio distribution installations, post production environments and anything in-between. RedNet 3 can be used simply as a means of converting thirty-two channels of digital audio between formats and delivering it somewhere else on the network at near-zero latency. Sample rate conversion is available on the AES and S/PIDF inputs.

There are three methods of connecting the unit to a computer using a single Ethernet cable. These are via an optional RedNet PCIe card (for ASIO and Core Audio applications), directly into the computer's Ethernet port using DVS (Dante Virtual Soundcard) software where near zero latency is not essential, or through an existing RedNet 5 interface for connecting directly to Pro Tools HD, Pro Tools HDX and Pro Tools HD Native.

Dante enabled, thirty-two ADAT digital audio input/output interface
Support for eight channels of AES/EBU and two channels of S/PDIF digital audio formats
    Wordclock I/O
Sample Rate Conversion (SRC) is available on the AES and S/PDIF inputs
Suitable for live sound rigs, multi-room recording studios, houses of worship, audio distribution installations, post production environments, and more
Connects to a computer via single Cat6 Ethernet cable
