The MoVI M5 Adventure Kit is designed to replicate the setup filmmaker Philip Bloom used while traveling the world to shoot CNN's series "The Wonder List." The kit features the lightweight, carbon fiber MoVI Ring that lets you hold the stabilizer in variety of different positions, and a Toad in the Hole Quick Release system for attaching the gimbal assembly to an additional support device, such as a crane, jib, or car mount. The Quick Release System includes one female Toad in the Hole Quick Release adapter for the MoVI and a Male Toad Adapters to be attached to your support device. A second Male Toad Adapter is also included in this kit. Lastly, the kit provides you with a 27.56"-long, right angle Mini HDMI to HDMI cable for sending the HDMI output from your camera to an external monitor or recorder.
Please see the links below for more information on the components of this kit.
Offering more than one way to grip a MōVI, the MōVI Ring attaches directly to a MōVI M5, M10, or M15 motorized gimbal stabilizer, and offers more points of contact than the standard handgrip by surrounding it in a singular 360° grip. Since the MōVI Ring is manufactured from carbon fiber, it is both strong and lightweight for surviving long and grueling shooting schedules. The MōVI Ring is compatible with the Freefly Toad in the Hole quick-release system, so it can be easily swapped out for another handle or gimbal mount.
Toad (Male Adapter)
If you have a MōVI motorized gimbal equipped with a Toad-In-the-Hole Quick Release system, additional Toad adapters from Freefly can be mounted on other grip equipment to quickly move the gimbal from one setup to the next.
Each Toad adapter has a lightweight low-profile design and is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. The circular design allows the Toad to operate in any orientation (0 to 360°). Four M3 screws are included to mount the Toad to a separately available Freefly Ninja Star.
6061-T6 CNC machined aluminum
Titanium nitride coated catch/release for durability
Mountable in any orientation (0-360º)
Toad In The Hole Quick Release
Not to be confused with the British Yorkshire Pudding dish, the Toad In the Hole from Freefly is actually a cleverly named quick-release system that fits between the Movi gimbal unit and the handles. The "Toad" part fits on a handle or other piece of equipment you wish to mount your Movi to. For example, you can put the Toad on a car mount or a drone, thus giving you options to quickly secure and release your Movi in the heat of a shoot.
Lightweight, low-profile design
Primary clamp and secondary safety catch release mechanism
6061-T6 CNC-machined aluminum
Titanium-Nitride-coated catch-release for durability
Able to be mounted in any orientation (0-360º)
Right-Angle Mini-HDMI Type-C to HDMI Type-A Cable (27.56")
The 27.56" Right-Angle Mini-HDMI Type-C to HDMI Type-A Cable from FREEFLY features a flexible jacket and is designed to send an HDMI signal from a camera with a mini-HDMI output to a monitor on your movi's top handlebar without the stiffness and weight of a traditional HDMI cable. This cable features a type-C mini-HDMI male connector on one end and a type-A HDMI male connector on the other end.
