These features will make your computer lighter, save power, and run everyday tasks such as booting up your computer, launching applications, and transferring data quicker.

Also in the software package is a System Clone utility to help transfer the data from your original drive to the SSD370S making upgrading your computer easier. Additionally, a 3.5" bracket and screws are included for installing this 2.5" storage drive into a 3.5" bay.

Can this SSD be mounted and used on an imac mid 2011 as internal hard drive?
Asked by: piri k.
The Transcend 1TB SSD370S SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD can be used in a 2011 iMac, however you will need a mounting bracket (http://bhpho.to/1Z2L7Om) as well as a thermal cable (http://bhpho.to/1KZhxSE) for proper fan control.

question

does it work with T420?
Asked by: Anonymous
- In a query for T420, I find a Dell PowerEdge T420 Server and the Lenovo ThinkPad T420.- For this discussion I will assume the ThinkPad.- To answer your question, it should work without incident. This answer is of course based, that the drive will fit your device.- I have moved over 200+ hard drives to solid state since the first of 2015.- I find the Transcend product line very stable. I am also a fan of Crucial, Kingston and Intel.- I am not a fan of OCZ or Samsung, for reasons beyond the scope of your inquiry.- You will, of course, have to use a disk duplication software such as Acronis or EaseUs to image the partition data from hdd to ssd.- I would also suggest that you run the Windows 7 Pro Repair (from Cd) upon the first boot to reorient the boot sectors (for simplicity).- Once you can fully boot, you should also verify that the Trim function is enabled. You can find this information easily using Google for the fsutil program. This is an important function.- The performance difference should be most pleasing.- As an example, one clients laptop (I5-Quad) took 272 seconds to boot to the desktop. After migration, it was down to 19 seconds. Of course the standard hdd in a laptop is generally 5400rpm. The ssds dont have that limitation...zoom...- On a tangent, I have been most pleased the B&H Photo for their excellent products, fast delivery and outstanding service.- Best regards. G.W. Humphrey, Electrical Engineer.- End
