    TP-Link UH700 reviews

    UH700 USB 3.0 7-Port Hub is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Performer at Reasonable Price This 7-port hub comes with a power transformer, On/Off switch, and USB connection cable. I looked at and read the reviews of many hubs before coming across this one. I currently own a T-P link range expander that has performed without a single issue, so manufacturer reliability was a factor in my selection. The hub is flat with a low profile the size of an average portable ext HD. Each USB 3.0 port (backwards compatible) has a small white LED to indicate the port is active. In moderate to brightly rooms, the low-profile LED is very difficult to see. This was the only negative point resulting in 4/5 stars. The performance related to its price is worth the investment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't work correctly This sat on my desk for a while because the USB cable that comes with it is so short I had to reconfigure my desk to use it. It works fine as long as I don't plug in the power supply. When I do, the lights dim and all the ports stop working. That's find if you're just using it for a mouse, keyboard or flash drives, but nothing works that draws extra power and I suspect it won't charge anything either. I have an external HDD that doesn't need a power supply when plugged directly into the computer, but won't work with the hub. Tech support is non-existent. Just a lame bulletin board that doesn't seem to be manned by TP-Link at all and is full of people who have no idea what they're doing or what they're talking about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved my problem The three powered ports have supported all the peripherals I've tried with them: gaming keyboard and mouse, bus-powered USB 3.0 portable disk drive. Just be aware that the four other ports are suitable only for thumb drives and (probably) conventional mice and keyboards. B&H sales rep used this product personally and confirmed I would be able to use it with my setup. Good advice and value..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product Great Product This piece of hardware is an essential for any home studio that doesn't have sufficient number of ports. Design wise it is sleek and hardly noticeable on top of my workstation, it's also very fast with USB 3.0 which allows data speeds to transfer over nicely and has a power cable to power most USB devices. My connected devices includes a mouse, wireless keyboard, Blue Yeti Microphone, Focusrite Audio Interface, Novation Launchkey 47, and another small keyboard. In total the 7 ports are more than enough. Great price too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost OK Works as advertised, but... Enclosure design has some flaws. On busy desk, there is no way to place it without taking several times its size off the usable desk surface space. Both long edges have I/Os, which means that the unit cannot be placed on the long side. It has to lay flat. When all I/Os are used, the spider created with cables sticking out of the unit occupies almost 10 times the area of the unit itself. Using one long and one short edge for all I/Os would make the unit a lot more usable. Second, the instructions say that one USB output is always hot even when the hub switch is turned off. Not so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy access As much as I love my IMac it only comes with four USB connections and they are hard to get to. So having seven at my finger tips makes a big difference.
