Is this filter multi-resistant coating?
Asked by: Francis
Canon has no specific information regarding the coatings applied to their Protect filter, but based on its description, we believe this is not coated/multi-coated in the traditional sense like other brands' filters are. See Canon's page on the filter here: https://bit.ly/38SF33M

Would the Canon 49mm Protect Filter work with a Cannon EF-S 10-22 mm lens?
Asked by: Kinga
Hi--the Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens has a 77mm diameter, so this filter would not fit on it. This is the Canon Protector filter that fits the 10-22mm lens: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/763705-REG/Canon_2602A001_77mm_UV_Protector_Filter.html

question

Will this fit (and still allow my lens cap to attach) a Canon PowerShot SX500IS?
Asked by: Anonymous
Since the SX500IS does not have filter threads, this filter will not fit. You may be able to find a third-party filter adapter online, but B&H does not carry it at this time.

question

Does this filter fit the canon ultra wide angle 17-40m USM?
Asked by: Anh N.
The Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens accepts a 77mm filter. With that said, the B+W 77mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter B&H # BWUVXSP77 would be a better choice in terms of size and offers a thinner ring to prevent vignetting. Please see the image below for reference.
