PolarPro P4001 overview

  • 1Description

Improve the quality of your aerial footage with the DJI Zenmuse X3 Filter 3-Pack from Polar Pro. The pack includes a polarizer filer, 3-stop neutral density filter, and 4-stop neutral density filter, all designed specifically for the camera lens of the DJI Zenmuse X3. Offering varying degrees of light reduction, the filters are useful for slowing down the camera's shutter speed, resulting in smoother looking motion and helping to reduce the appearance of rolling shutter.

The filters all feature glass lenses for optimal image quality and scratch resistance, a low-profile design, and are lightweight at approximately 0.2 oz ounces for the heaviest filter, so they won't interfere with the camera's gimbal system.

Note: For the Zenmuse X3 camera, OSMO or Inspire 1 version. Does not fit lenses for the Zenmuse X5/X5R cameras.

Polarizer Filter
The polarizer filter helps to reduce glare and improve color saturation. When filming from a quadcopter, a large amount of light is reflected back up towards the camera. The polarizer reduces the amount of glare bouncing off the ground. It can also be used to slow down the cameras shutter speed by reducing light by 1.6 stops.
ND Filters
The ND filters reduce light hitting the sensor, which slows down the camera's shutter speed. This creates a more natural looking motion blur that smoothes out footage and helps reduce the appearance of "jello" effects from the camera's rolling shutter. They can also be used for reducing lens flare while shooting into the sun and for toning down highlights while filming outdoors. The following ND filters are included:

ND8: This ND cuts light by 3-stops
ND16: This ND cuts light by 4-stops

    PolarPro P4001 reviews

DJI Zenmuse X3 Filter 3-Pack is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product as advertised I was hoping the darkest nd filter in this package would be darker than the one that shipped with the Inspire 1, they appear to be the same level though. One missing feature. It would be great if one of these filters had threads on its outer edge so you could put two on at once (polarizer AND nd filter for example). Sadly, that's not the case in this kit. The kit did come with nice little pouches, three of them, one for each filter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential If You Want The Best Image This kit is essential if you want to get the best image out of your OSMO or Inspire camera. It makes it so that you can achieve good exposure without blowing out the highlights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Kit The only issue I have with these filters is that they are not labeled. Its not that big of a deal but it would be great if they were clearly marked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessary evil Necessary evil for the OSMO+. Since the OSMO has no aperture setting, you are only left with ISO and shutter speed to get your exposure. So outdoors you are stuck with 100ISO and about 1/1600th of a second shutter which is too sharp. Using the Polarizer or ND gets your shutter speed down to where the footage looks more natural. Nice quality glass and ring too... it is a little pricey, but a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality optics I bought this set mainly for the circular polarizer and that works beautifully in that it brings out the clouds and the water colors etc, the only issue I've had with it is that it's not dark enough and my shutter speed is now very high leading I think to an increase in clips rolling shutter issues. I film in tropical environments so ambient light is usually very high......If they could make a ND + polarizer combo for such applications that would be ideal as you cannot stack these filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice option for lens filters I purchased these filters because the Inspire only come with two filters, and one of them is very dark, and the other is almost no filter. I live in a sunny climate, and find that the dark filter is too much, and the other one is not enough. I will say that these filters do fit a little different than the filters that come with the Inspire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice entry Level I had just purchased an Inspire and Osmo and needed a few filters. These are great, fit perfectly, do the job well. I wanted a name I could trust and from my research, PolarPro is a highly respected company. Add B&H Photo great pricing, it was a no brainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice filter kit This filter kit gives you more options than what come with the Inspire. I have only used the 8, because it's always very sunny here in Florida. The filter works great when flying and filming or taking pictures over water.
