Apple MJ3V2LL/A overview

  • 1Description

Stay connected in style with the 2015 42mm Apple Watch, which comes with a stainless steel chassis and a white Sport band. Designed for users looking for the next generation of connectivity, Apple's Watch moves your iPhone's apps and functions to your wrist so you can do more while leaving your phone in your pocket.

Apple Watch connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth 4.0 and displays notifications, apps, and more on its 1.5" display. It can also connect directly to the Internet thanks to 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. The internal battery lasts for up to 18 hours of normal use and is recharged with an included inductive magnetic charger.

Apps
Enjoy the iOS apps you love on your iPhone, tailored for Apple Watch.
Notifications
Leave your phone in your pocket and view notifications on your wrist. Apple Watch displays alerts from your iPhone so you can respond or dismiss them at will. Its Taptic engine gives you a gentle tap on your wrist or an audio cue when notifications come in.
Glances
Glances are scannable summaries of the information you need most. Simply swipe up from your watch face and you'll instantly be able to do things like see what's next on your calendar or find your location on a map.
Complications
Complications are small widgets that appear on the face of your Watch and provide quick access to frequently used data. You can customize which complications you'd like to appear, including built-in complications like weather, calendar, and activity, or complications from your installed apps.
Time Travel
Turn the Digital Crown to scroll through your complications and see what's happening next or what already happened.
Siri
Talk to Apple's digital assistant Siri just like you would on your iPhone to launch apps, record notes, search the web, reply to messages, and more. Simply hold down the digital crown or raise your wrist and say "Hey, Siri."
Faces
Customize the face of your Apple Watch to fit your needs, from chronographs to digital faces to a model of the solar system. Add the complications of your choice to the watch face so you can see the information most important to you.
Health and Fitness
The Activity app displays progress made towards your daily activity goals with three intuitive rings that grow the more you move, finally closing when you hit your targets. The Stand ring shows how often you've stood up to take a break from sitting, the Move ring shows how many active calories you've burned, and the Exercise ring shows how many minutes of brisk activity you've completed. Swipe up from the bottom of the Watch to view active calories burned, steps taken, and distance traveled.

Your Watch senses your activity on its own, so there's no need to enter it in manually. Goals can be adjusted manually or based on weekly suggestions from the Activity app. Third-party app support lets you interact with favorite fitness apps directly on your Watch, taking advantage of its heart rate sensor and motion sensors.
Heart Rate Monitor
Check your heart rate at any time with the Apple Watch's built-in heart rate monitor. It uses an array of LEDs and sensors to photoplethysmographically determine how hard your heart is working. Every ten minutes it attempts to take a reading, which is then stored in the Health app. Certain conditions, such as movement, extreme temperatures, and tattoos can interfere with readings.
Force Touch
Apple Watch senses how much pressure you use when you tap on its face, adding a new dimension to the ways you can interact with it. Press firmly to see additional controls, change watch faces, and more.
Taptic Engine
Instead of a vibration, the Apple Watch "taps" on your wrist to alert you to new notifications and respond to inputs. It gives different types of taps in different situations, so you can feel the difference between a call and a text message without looking.
Digital Touch
Connect with other Apple Watch users with Digital Touch. Users can send drawings with Sketch, gentle tap patterns with Tap, and even your heartbeat.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay is a secure mobile payment method that lets you pay for goods and services online and in-person without reaching for your wallet. You can add credit cards and rewards cards to Apple Pay, which does not store card numbers on your device or share them with merchants.

To pay with your Apple Watch, simply double-click the side button and hold the display of Apple Watch up to the contactless reader. A gentle tap and beep confirm that your payment information was sent.
Music
When your iPhone is in range, you can use your Apple Watch to control what's playing. You can also listen to up to 2GB of locally-stored music without an iPhone when using Bluetooth headphones.
Calls
Take a call with your Apple Watch's built-in speakerphone or transfer it to your iPhone.
Nightstand
Place your Apple Watch on its side and connect the included magnetic charger to activate Nightstand mode, which displays the time, date, and alarm when you touch the screen, digital crown, or side button. When your alarm sounds, press the Digital Crown to snooze or the side button to turn it off altogether.
Design
The Apple Watch is made from cold-forged 316L stainless steel. The display and heart rate sensor are covered by polished sapphire glass.
Activation Lock
Activating your Apple Watch requires your iCloud Apple ID and password, so your information will stay safe even if your Watch is lost or stolen.

    Apple MJ3V2LL/A reviews

Watch 42mm Smartwatch (2015, Stainless Steel Case, White Sport Band) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price and value. The Apple Watch is very cleverly thought through. It does help by repeating certain functions of the iPhone and providing easy access to those functions. I bought the original watch version, because the new generation 2 watch really isn't all that much faster, nor does it add any significant features, so the value, for the price I paid, was worth it. The one feature I would really to see added, would be a camera for FaceTime & for taking quick snapshots. I really like the different watch faces, especially the larger, easier to see displays and multiple functions. Never boring and well integrated with all the Apple products, a very nice addition to my daily connected life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apple Watch I'm really enjoying my Apple Watch so far. I've had it for two weeks now and am glad I made the purchase. The battery life lasts throughout the day without charging, however the more you use the apps your battery obviously dwindles down. I've noticed a few minor software glitches, similar to the occasional with the iPhone, but nothing major. Hopefully a software update will address. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase, but wish the Apple Watch was more affordable compared to other smart watches. I also wish Apple would offer a black band option with the silver stainless face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! I have been really pleased with my Apple Watch. I wanted the stainless steel because I thought that it looked a lot nicer, and it does. I worried about the white band getting dirty but so far the band has stayed surprisingly clean and has been easy enough to to clean off when something did get on it. As far as performance, occasionally it does act a little glitchy and I will have to turn it off and then turn it back on and that usually corrects the problem. I was really surprised at all the apps that are available and compatible with it. It's been an awesome addition for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Companion to iPhone, but Short on Battery Life I have been using the Apple Watch for about a week now. Overall, its a pretty good device. The settings take a bit to setup--if you setup all of the notifications, you will be getting tapped on the wrist too many times in the day. Its notification overload. So I scaled back the notifications. The apps aren't the fastest, to pop up and refresh, but they work. The battery life is probably the biggest drawback. If you look at the face a lot and have a lot of notifications, the battery will suffer. I also wish it had GPS capability, but of course, that would make battery performance worse. Bottom line...give me an Apple Watch that would easily last 1.5 days with regular use...you would have a great device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch at a great value The Apple Watch is a great tool, there are plenty of reviews for it online. With the new WatchOS 3, it promises to be even more. What is more impressive is the price and quickness by witch B&H delivered the watch. This experience turned me on to you for all of my photographic needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apple Watch The watch is amazing. During a meeting if my phone buzzes My watch shows who has called. It also reminds me of upcoming apps and on top of that shows the time! :) Its all I expected and at, through B&C Photo a significant savings over Apple Store for the same product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely worth it, especially at this price!!! I love this watch! I upgraded from an aluminum sport Apple Watch, the quality of the stainless steel is worth it! Apples packaging is magnificent, it's truly an experience to even open the Apple Watch. I chose this first gen over a newer series 2 watch because I couldn't resist BH's amazing price on this model. I got it for 55% off of its original retail price. I wear it every day, all day and my main uses are for fitness tracking and notifications. If you want a nicer looking Apple Watch but don't want to spend over $500, consider this Watch and this deal!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes a little while to set up. The device itself is fantastic for its size. It feels nice on your wrist, and the bands are easy to change. There aren't many apps on it yet, but the ones that are provided are adequate enough. I did find the activity tracker and the heart rate sensor to be very accurate. Do take note: when I got my watch, it was completely dead so the battery will take a long time to change to 50% so you can update the OS. The first two days were sketchy, but now I get a full day out of my battery.
