Whether an enthusiast, pro, or discerning beginner, your photography gear deserves the top quality materials and craftsmanship found in the black Professional Series: Anvil 17 Backpack from Tamrac. The main compartment features padded, touch fastening dividers for storing and organizing your pro-sized DSLRs with attached lenses, extra lenses, and accessories. Opposite your stored camera gear are three, interior, zippered, clear, accessory pockets. A zippered, exterior, padded, front compartment has an inner sleeve for storing and protecting an up to 15" laptop or other device. Exterior pockets are handy for storing items such as sunglasses, mobile phones, maps, wallet, and other necessities. Side compression straps are useful for keeping your gear free from excessive movement.

Two, removable, adjustable, quick-release straps on the front of the pack are used for securing the legs of a pro-sized tripod, and work together with a lower accessory pocket, which is used for holding the tripod feet. Carry your Anvil 17 Backpack with the padded, grab handle or shoulder harness. For comfort and stability, the harness features padded, adjustable shoulder straps with a connector. On longer journeys, photographers will appreciate the added comfort provided by the removable hip belt. Both the hip belt, and the side of the pack have M.O.L.L.E System attachment points. Tamrac T0220-1919 reviews

Professional Series: Anvil 17 Backpack (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bag This bag has an amazing amount of storage and holds my D810 with battery grip as well as the 24-70 2.8 lens as well as the 70-200, SB 910, chargers, and other miscellaneous gear with no problem. Other bags just didn't held the gear. The tripod straps work much better than other models and securely holds my Benro 2192 tripod. Recently took it all on a hike into the mountains were I climbed some steep trials and it performed beautifully. the shoulder straps are wide, comfortable, and most of all secure. The belt strap keeps it securely in place while climbing tough terrain and also offers a bit of a back support which makes it comfortable for long walks. I had tried the Evolution 8 which not only did not hold a professional DSLR with battery and faster lens but the straps were not comfortable and there was no room for additional gear. I don't know what changes were made when they replaced the evolution with the Corona but would recommend you avoiding the side access design if you have any amount of gear besides one body, two modest lenses and a flash and do yourself a favor and just by one of the Anvil series bags. This bag is well built, there are no zippers that rub your equipment, and easily holds my computer while still offering additional room not found in other bags. It sits up well on the ground and I highly recommend it for active hikers. Just do yourself a favor and buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bag is on its way to Iceland/ I needed a bag to hold my laptop and my smaller lens. I have two Nikon D300S bodies, 12-24,18-50, 1.7 teleconverter and a 70-200. There is plenty of room left for my meds , so I dont need to put this is a rolling bag, just put this on my back and board the plane. It is very sturdy and well built. I have never Tamrac before and the bag seems to be perfect for this trip as my 200-400 is staying at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag, lots of room. I bought this bag after I bought a 70-200 lens. My old bag wouldn't hold all my gear anymore. I looked for a long time before I found this one. I have a D800, with 24-70 and a few other lenses. I also carry some remote triggers, ND filters, and some other things. This bag fits everything, and I still have room for more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Is The Best Bag I Have Ever Owned !! I bought this bag in November 2017....I liked it so well,we bought one for our son for Christmas,he loves it also......In my bag,I carry my Canon 5D MKIII with canon 24-105 f-4 L attached w/hood,70-200 2.8 IS MKII w/hood,canon 1.4 ef extender,16-35 f4 L IS w/hood ,100 mm f2.8 L IS w/hood & 430 EX II speed light.....Also,I have a tamrac 5 filter pouch w/filters,a tamrac 8 card (SD/CF) card pouch,a 2 battery pouch (DSLR) & a small pouch for my wireless and wired remotes,2 battery chargers,LED headlamp & a small penlight... that's just the main compartment....in the 3 crystal clear interior pouches,I keep manuals,2 dot line AA battery cases for extra flash & flashlight batteries.....cleaning supplies and storm jacket for the camera & lense.....I chose the Anvil 17 over the Anvil 23,only because, between the 17 & 23,the interior dimensions for width & depth were Identical, the length of the Anvil 23 interior was 1.2 inches longer, according to the specs, for me,that wasn't enough of a difference to pay an additional $50 for just over an inch .....Either way you go,I don't think you'll be disappointed....... I Love This Bag !! Hands Down,The Best Bag I Have Ever Owned !!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Very disappointed in the Tamrac Anvil bags. I've used Tamrac since 1983 and would never carry my gear in any other bag. Since 2003 I've had the same Tamrac backpack bag which had endured years of travel, airports, music tours, tour buses, hiking, cold, rain etc.. and still after 15 years is still a fairly solid bag. I simply ran out of room and decided to buy a new one. I started with the Anvil 17, right out of the box I could tell it was not made as well as the older backpacks. It's not as wide and the shallow depth makes carrying medium format gear...esp prime lenses vertically impossible as opposed to the older Tamrac where they fit perfectly. Plain and simple these bags are way too shallow. My Bronica GS-1 6x7 film camera wouldn't even fit in this bag! I then got the largest bag Anvil 27 and discovered that it's the same exact dimensions as the Anvil 17, just 3 inches longer. Why isn't the Anvil 27 wider and deeper?? Not every photographer shoots with small mirror less Sony's or Fuji's. Some of us like myself shoot with medium format film and digital and need space for all our gear. Very Disappointed Tamrac!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for travel I bought this bag primarily to use as a carry-on for some international travel. It had plenty of space for a reasonable kit of 2-3 small lenses, a gripped D7100, maps, guides, folio, and then some chocolates on my return trip. :-) You could easily fit 2 gripped DSLRs (one without lens attached), so I am looking forward to using it for car trips as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish I bought the next size up I carry my camera with me everywhere I go everyday and when my old bag started showing its age, I started shopping. The photo of this product left me to believe it was about the same size as my old big but slightly bigger for more gear. I carry 1 full frame body with battery pack with a 70-200 on it, a fisheye lens, a 16-35, 2 flashes and all of that fits. I'm not sure I could add anything more though in the main compartment which may be best for my wallet but more space would have been better. Totally not the bags fault, I know. I did take the waist strap off although I'm sure it would be great for a long day of hiking. The only other thing I can say about is with all the buckles and straps, it's a bit clunky sounding so I've tried to remedy that. Not what I wished I bought but it's still a great bag, well made, room for something with less gear than I'm lugging around and I feel like if I dropped it, everything inside would be fine.
