Enjoy the audio and tactile feedback of soft keys on the compact, completely blank 4C Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard from Das Keyboard. The compact, tenkeyless design takes up less space on your desk surface. The extra-long 6.5' cord plugs into a USB port on your computer, which also provides power for the two USB 2.0 ports on the keyboard. Use this USB hub to transfer files, sync your phone, and attach peripherals. An unexpectedly handy feature is the footbar that raises the keyboard, which is magnetically detachable and scaled on both sides so it can double as a 13" ruler when not in use. A designated sleep key on the 4C Ultimate puts your computer to sleep, helping you save energy and get back up and running faster than if you had to shut down and restart. Sturdy construction and firmware updates will keep your 4C Ultimate running for a long time.
Soft Switches with Tactile Bump
The Brown switches have a soft, tactile bump about halfway through the key press. The Soft Pressure Point switch technology makes the mechanical keyboard less clicky while providing a pleasant tactile experience. The gold-plated switches don't rust and will last up to 50 million keystrokes.
No Key Inscriptions
The 4C Ultimate's keys are completely blank for a sleek look, and intended for professional typists and gamers who don't need to look down at the keys. The home keys, F and J, have the traditional bumps to help you place your fingers correctly. The function keys are also media controls for mute, volume, play/pause, next and previous track. Faint black inscriptions on the front of the function keys hint at their purpose. Another dedicated key allows you to instantly deactivate the Windows key so you can gain control for better gaming.
NKRO, or n-key rollover, means that each key is scanned completely independently by the keyboard hardware, so that each keypress is correctly detected regardless of how many other keys are being pressed or held down at the time. This is especially helpful for fast typists and gamers who often press a key before they've fully released the previous one.
