Capture 12MP photos and HD 720p video of wildlife or trespassers with the Buck Commander Nano 12 IR Digital Scouting Camera in TRUbark HD Camo from Wildgame Innovations. The PIR (passive infrared) motion sensor with a 60' range and 1-sec trigger speed signals the image sensor to capture a picture or record a video when it's triggered by subject movement. The camera also operates in time-lapse shooting mode using Flextime+ technology, capturing images at selectable intervals so you can see patterns and change over time. This capability is useful for recording a wide range of subjects, including game, weather, plants, and construction sites. The supplied Flextime software CD allows you to create time-lapse videos out of the images you capture, so you can view days, weeks, or months of activity in a matter of minutes.
The trail cam offers both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios for full-screen and widescreen viewing. It also features a 28-LED infrared flash with an effective range of 70' to capture clear images and video even at night.
Pictures and movies are recorded to optional SDHC memory cards up to 32GB. The Buck Commander Nano runs on 4 optional AA batteries, or an optional external battery pack for longer runtimes. Additionally, a USB cable for transferring images to a computer is supplied, as is a mounting strap for attaching the camera to a tree.
Photo and Video Resolution
Image sensor with 12MP resolution for sharp, detailed still photos
HD 720p video recording in 30-sec clips
Both 4:3 for full-screen and 16:9 for wide-screen viewing can be selected
Passive infrared / PIR motion-activated sensor
Detection range: 60'
Trigger speed: 1 sec
Detects changes in temperature that occur when subjects move, and signals image sensor to capture pictures or videos in response
Programmable delay time between trigger events: 15 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 5 min, 10 min
Select when PIR sensor is active: 24 h/day, daylight h only, or nighttime h only
Select PIR sensitivity: High for detecting even the smallest movement, medium for detecting most common/average-size movements, and low for detecting only larger movements
Features a 28-LED infrared flash with an effective range of 70' to capture clear images and video even at night
Selectable exposure settings: High for greatest distance with some motion blur, medium for long distance with little motion blur, and low for average distance with very little motion blur
Flextime+ Time-Lapse Technology lets you capture images at set intervals to see change over time
Min. interval: 1 min
Create time-lapse videos out of these images using included Flextime software CD
Time-lapse photography can be set to occur at various intervals at dusk and dawn
P1 Period: 15 min before sunrise to 1 h after sunrise, or 1 h before sunset to 15 min after sunset. Camera inactive before and after Flextime periods
P2 Period: Same time frame as P1, but camera is in PIR mode before and after Flextime periods
Interval Period: 15 min before sunrise to 15 min after sunset. Camera is in PIR mode before and after Flextime period
Camera needs at least 48 h to get acclimated to an environment for Flextime to function properly
Motion + Time-Lapse Mode
Both motion sensor and time-lapse mode are active at same time, so camera will capture images whenever triggered by movement even if it's in between scheduled time-lapse shooting events
This combination of image-capture methods helps ensure you don't miss opportunities for shots
Flextime + PIR Periods: Same as three Flextime periods explained above
Time, date, temperature, moon phase, location, and photo count can all be stamped on images
By displaying phase of moon at time of capture, camera helps you see whether certain animals are more inactive during a full/nearly full moon, when brighter lighting conditions make them more visible to predators
Moon phase also helps you determine whether brighter or darker backgrounds are due to fullness of moon
Accepts optional SD/SDHC memory cards up to 32GB
Runs on 4 AA batteries, which also must be purchased separately
Equipped with an external power port for optional EBX External Battery Pack, which provides longer run times
Water/weather-resistant to withstand the elements over extended periods of outdoor use
USB cable for connection and image transfer to a computer
Adjustable strap for mounting camera to a tree/post
CD loaded with Flextime time-lapse video software
