The Swing! - The Jazzy Film Scoring Library from ProjectSAM brings together a diverse collection of sounds including big band brass, solo instruments, and a groovy rhythm section that can be used in audio applications by composers, engineers, and producers and utilized in films, broadcast TV, recordings, and more.
Swing! offers a wide selection of expressive playable instruments and pre-arranged ensembles, as well as "phrase-based" big band chords, guitar strums, slide guitar patterns, looped guitar, and drum patterns. The 35 GB library is designed to blend together and features on-screen velocity and modwheel mapping, as well as scripts for intelligently switching to half or double tempo. The library utilizes Native Instruments Kontakt Player and features lead instruments, big band ensembles, a saxophone section, brass section, rhythm section, tempo sync grooves, and a set of 17 mulits.
All of the samples were recorded exclusively for Swing! in either a concert hall (offering 3 mic sets) or a smaller studio environment (offering 2 mic sets). The Big Band Ensemble and Sax Section feature several instruments performing notes in certain combinations. Individual instruments within the ensemble cannot be soloed, however patches within the Brass Section folder are individually playable, such as the Harmon trumpet or solo trombone.
