Hi, Will this focus close to infinity or past infinity using 1970s Pentax Super Takumar Lenses. 50mm, 35mm, 28mm? Using the basic m42 screw mount adapter does not focus to infinity. Thank you.

Does the adapter warp the image? I used another adapter for my fujifilm x-t2 that was suppose to make it close to full frame and it had a weird warp that made things in the center look skinnier and the edge look pulled out. Does this adapter do the same or does it look flat?
Asked by: Jonathan
This economy adapter should not have any distortion. If it does, I would suggest you do an exchange.

question

I assume aperture control is not possible with EF lenses.. but usable at wide open aperture ?
Asked by: Nathan
When removed from a compatible Canon camera, the aperture diaphragm on a Canon EF lens is designed to open to its widest setting. A Canon EF lens may be effectively used with its aperture diaphragm fully open along with this adapter and a Fujifilm X mount APS-C camera. Otherwise, an aperture value on a Canon EF lens may be set by first placing the lens on a Canon EOS camera and then pressing the camera's depth of field preview button while removing the lens prior to placing it on the adapter.

question

I have the following Zeiss ZE lenses:25 f235 f250 f1.421 f2.8100 f2135 f2.Will all these lenses work with the Fujifilm X-T2 using this adapter? Any loss of sharpness and image quality?thank you
Asked by: Patrick Y.
Mitakon Zhongyi Lens Turbo Adapter V2 for Full-Frame Canon EF Mount Lens to Fujifilm X Mount APS-C Camera will work well with the lenses listed. Using the adapter could add a little distortion on the edges, but starting with such great lenses will make it not noticeable.

question

Will the Canon 50 mm f1.2 L lens manual focus when using this adapter ? (it is supposed to have mechanical manual focus unlike the 85L, but have heard conflicting statement on it).
Asked by: Nathan
I have it, and use it on my X-T2 with my Nikon lenses. Brand does not matter for the mechanics is the same. There is a stepless aperture control (preferred by those who shoot video). All focus becomes only manual. You can use the focus peaking feauture of your camera, it works like charm. I am coming from film, it doesn't bother me at all. If you get used to it, with prime lenses, believe you can work as fast as using auto focus. Maybe even faster, because you don't need to move the focus square to match the focus point. Just follow the highlighted areas of the focus peaking. This is a very good adapter. It works like charm, and no noticeable loss of sharpness, unless you use a microscope maybe to see the difference : )
