Rated 5 out of 5 by from It just fit what I need. Putting a audio equipment and good sized monitor for my little gig's need. Turn out it fits great and not too heavy also provide protection to the equipment. Very nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FRO802 Odyssey Rack I've been a wedding and school DJ for over 15 years. The main things I was looking for was weight, size, price and features. 1) Weight: It's lighter than most other racks that are similar, sometimes half the weight. I thought it may be the hardware that was small or lighter. Nope. The hardware is very strong and big. The reason it's lighter is because the boards themselves are very thin. Probably thinner than all the other racks I looked it. This is good and bad. I likely won't have an issue because I am careful with my gear and the hardware gives adequate protection for normal use. However if you slammed the middle of the plywood into a rack for example the rock would probably win. 2) Size: This was key. 90% of the racks I have used had a 10U mixer rack top. Unless you have a 10U mixer and or other gear you don't need a 10U space. That extra 2U make the rack bigger, heavier and more awkward to carry. My 14 channel mixer is 8U and it fits perfectly. Soon I will probably find myself a 6U mixer and a 2U light controller. It will be glorious and it will all fit into this nice small box. 3) Price: You can't beat this price... literally, it is hard to find something that will beat this price. 4) Features: This had most everything I was looking for but it has a couple of things that could be updated. Again, the plywood is fairly thin. That's fine. It also had a slated mixer space. Though it wasn't until I received it that I realized that it is ALWAYS slanted. My thought was that you could adjust from no slant to full slant. Not so. It is always slanted. I was a bit bummed. The back of my mixer will always be view able to the crowd which is not ideal. The other thing I needed was a way to get it completely closed. This rack will be in my garage and over the winter some mice tend to run around. Some racks had an open back that I couldn't use. I also wanted cord holes on each side of the rack. This has this but it is underneath the a metal odyssey logo which is screwed into the rack at both sides. This is a poor design because unscrewing a screw is time consuming and you will end up breaking the screw hole eventually. You could take these off eventually but then it would be a perfect mouse hole :) What I am going to try to do is remove one screw and see if I can more easily slide it up and down. The other thing I could do is make some other device that would work better. It had all the features I needed butt they could have been designed better. Overall it has the overall features, weight, size and price I was looking for but it has some opportunities to improve.
