question

Would 30 minutes of run-time on plain-old alkaline AA be a reasonable expectation?
Asked by: William C.
Yes. You should get at least 30 minutes of run time on fresh batteries. I have not tested to discover the maximum life, but 30 minutes is more than reasonable. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question

What is the lumen rating on this light? Previously I already bought a couple of video lights, later experienced that they're only good for 6 feet or less.
Asked by: paul
We do not have the photometric numbers on this light. It is OK, but not super bright. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question

What's a cold shoe
Asked by: Anonymous
A cold shoe is just the mount part. A hot shoe has the electronic contacts on it for communication between the camera and the light. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question

What's a hot shoe
Asked by: Anonymous
Stephen is correct. Also, technically, the adapter which comes with the light is NOT a hot shoe adapter, because there are no electronic connections (because the light is not controlled by the camera). So it is technically more of a cold shoe connection. But you get the picture. It can attach to the hot-shoe connector on cameras which have them. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question

What types of cameras is it compatible with?
Asked by: Anonymous
Everyone is correct. The main thing to keep in mind is that the light will not be slaved to the camera; it is a continuous lighting solution, not a flash. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].
