This L-M2 Professional Swing-Away Matte Box from Came-TV mounts to 15mm LWS rods using a height-adjustable swing-away bracket and features two 4x5.65" filter stages: one fixed stage and one rotating stage. The hood is supported by a side rail system, which allows you to adjust the position of the matte box forward and back independently of the rod-clamp bracket. It features plus/minus 10mm of height adjustment, which allows you to center your lens in the matte box. This is useful when working with cameras that do not follow industry standards for lens center to bottom of camera height.;

Included with the matte box are four neoprene anti-reflection donuts. The filter trays accept either 4x4" or 4x5.65" filters, and the height of the trays within the matte box can be adjusted and locked in place. Additionally, removable top and side flags are included with the matte box.

    L-M2 Professional Swing-Away Matte Box for 15mm Rods is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6.
    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Massive Matte Box After purchasing and returning four different $ and less (Chinese) boxes, I gave this one a try. It's a bit of a mystery item; as of this review, it's not on the Came-TV website and the only place I've seen it is B&H. The pictures, if you look closely are a bit misleading - there are two different models shown in the photo collection (note by the screws that tighten the flags and the donut holder) and the images closely (in fact are) resemble 'another' Chinese matte box that is sold under three different names for around $. This is NOT that box! This is higher quality/class of box. For the price, this is the best matte box I've found. In fact, at $, it is the first Matte Box I've purchased that doesn't seem overpriced for what it is. I believe it is the ABS version of Came-TV's $Carbon Fiber matte box. TWO rotating filter rings, Filter holder/adapters for both 4x4 and 4x5.6 filters, incredibly sturdy construction (the aluminum flags are quite thick with no flex), Thick RUBBER (not thin neoprene) donuts, a 16:9 clip that attaches to the outside lip of the box. All the knobs are metal. It's a mattebox that, honestly, is overkill for my needs - but can be grown into.The problems: 1. It is very heavy; in fact, too heavy. My Sachtler tripod, designed for 13lb cameras can't counterbalance with this box (though tilts are still smooth and easy). However, the weight will make me consider whether or not to always take it into the field. 2. The swing-away hinge doesn't lock with an immovable CLICK the way it should. The tolerances could be tighter there. This is my biggest complaint. I hope I can fix this. 3. I wish the vertical height adjustability were a bit greater. It is just a little bit shy of center with my lens. (C100 body on pretty standard rods and plate). This problem has arisen with other boxes and this one does work. but it's a bit close for comfort All said, this is the sturdiest matte box I've seen for $ dollars and under with some features only found in higher end. ps - filter holders are still plastic, though adapter insets are metal.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from big heavy good studio box. I was not sure of this when I ordered this box; I've tried most of the sub $$boxes and have had issues with all and the images of the box are in fact from two different boxes - (note the rear and side views - screws for tightening the flags are different as is the box itself) One of those boxes is a well know cheaper Chinese item.Happily, the box IS the box in right side view image. This is a heavy duty mattebox; the same as a Redstar or Flashpoint DV box. Just the brand name is different. You get a lot of matte-box for your money here.Two rotating filter rings, swing away, Very sturdy construction, thick donuts.It is very large and quite heavy - heavy enough that I had to push the camera way back on the plate and still couldn't quite couldn't counter-balance my Sachtler (rated for 13 lbs). Something to think about. I have used it in the field, but it is easier in the studio. For the extra 50 bucks, it is definitely worth going with this box over the myriad cheaper ones out there.Make sure your rods and plate will work for height adjustment.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty disappointing, it lacks professiona flexibilty I tried to use this Matte Box with my Canon 5d Mk2 on my rail system. The poor design won't enable it to be functional; It can not go low enough nor can it raise high enough to be usable. It was a waste of money for me.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not purchase this item. I had to alter the side to side setting by drilling new holes. The lens was off center.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough This is a robust matte box. Although it is quite heavy and it is a bit rough to adjust, it provides good protection and filtering possibilities. Make sure of the height of the lens on your handheld setup, otherwise the it would be off-center or blocked.
