Panasonic RP-HJX5-S overview

  • 1Description

The silver version of the Panasonic Drops 360° In-Ear Headphones RP-HJX5 uses 12mm coaxial dual magnet drivers to deliver a frequency response of 5 to 25,000 Hz into a 16 ohms load. The second magnet more precisely controls magnetic flux to result in a deeper, more robust bass signal with minimal distortion.

The headphone's aluminum chamber helps to suppress vibration to produce clearer sound with minimal distortion while the oversized housing delivers a richer, more textured sounding bass. The earpiece has been designed with a long straight port to deliver sound more directly to the eardrum while simultaneously providing a snug yet comfortable fit and helping block external sounds. A travel pouch and a set of small, medium, and large earpieces are included.

    Panasonic RP-HJX5-S reviews

    Drops 360° In-Ear Headphones RP-HJX5 (Silver) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drops 360 In-Ear Headphones One of the best earphones I own. Really good sound, better then I expected, they do not sound like earphones but have a much larger sound profile to them. Excellent bass enough to feel it while not over powering, the mids are good not great while the highs are clear. The way they are build they do bloc a significant amount of ambient noise. The bad, earpiece's can be hard to change, no way to tell left from right as they are not labeled. The cord does feel bit cheap and may not last long. Other then that impressive. Price at purchase $$.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed by the Sound I bought the drop 360 by Panasonic on B&H after reading positive reviews on them. I wanted some ear buds for the road, as my Audio Technicas M50x are a bit big to walk with. I received them and was impressed by the packaging, and the carrying pouch is a nice addition. The disappointment, however came from the most important aspect of any sound system-the sound! ! These to my ears have too much bass, the upper mids (presence range) are almost absent and the highs are also very low. Maybe I am spoiled by the M50x sound, but really Panasonic could have done better on the sound. I prefer the sound of the ear buds given with the galaxy s3 and s5 to these. If I lived in the US, I would have probably returned them the day I received them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality headphones that fit most everyone, and sound great! I got these Panasonic In-Ear Headphones for my computer. Every once in a while there is a video to listen to and watch. The earbuds that I was using kept falling out of my ears...what a pain! These have 3 different earpiece sizes from which to choose, and the rubber tips fit comfortably into the ear canal. I had a bit of trouble removing the original tips in order to install the smallest ones, and same trouble trying to install the new ones, but I prevailed and got those little rubbery, bendy tips on! Now I'm enjoying the fine stereo sounds that this good quality Panasonic product sends my way. I really do not know that much about the workings of bass, treble, distortion, balance, magnets, or full-range sound, only that I am well pleased that they fit in my ears, last comment: the Panasonic Headphones really do have a Fantastic Sound, and I am one very happy listener!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear Sound Quality. Seem to be well built. We will be using these for in-ear monitoring on stage. I was looking for an inexpensive in-ear headphone that could be used in a live sound environment. I know there are better out there, but they are much more expensive. I believe these will fit the bill. The lows are very strong, and the highs still cut through the mix. They seem to fit into all sizes ears very well, and cut out ambient sound.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent if you get it on sale I use this at the gym with my ipod. I like the noise isolation so I don't have to listen to the gym music or the grunting of lifters or banging of the weights. Because of the larger size drivers they do not stay in my ear as easy as smaller earphones but they sound better so the trade off is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great pair for the price I bought this pair when it dropped down to $17. Definitely a steal. The sound quality is amazing on them, especially for the price. I've noticed that when on, almost no other outside sound goes in. They're great. The only bad thing is that they can be uncomfortable for me sometimes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Performs well not really great Use mostly with iPad and Mac Laptop. They are comfortable fitting into ears and performs reasonably well. They are not really great producing clear sound. I don't need extra bass but light music performs okay. I feel it is worth the price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing earbuds!! Just to be clear I've owned many pairs of headphone both in ear and around ear. Now let's get to this lovely pair I got about a month ago. Build quality is superb, the cable is very nice and dose not tabgle easily and the jack seems like it's designed to last. Comfort wise I find the best way to wear them is with the cable behind the ear and the part that connects to the headphone faceing up and the wire separator about an inch from the chin. Now as for sound, I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the amount of detail even the soundstage is superb. I listen to edm, trance, classical, pop, hip hop and everything just sounds amazing. I find the base to be a little to much for my ears and so I use the base reduction in the iPhone EQ settings. I picked them up when they where on sale for about $ and these are easily worth 100 or more but because it's not a big name no one would buy it. In conclusion if you are looking for a solid, good sounding pair of in ear headphones at an affordable price then you should seriously consider this pair!
