FotodioX NIKG-EOSM-PRO Overview

The Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Canon EF-M Mount Camera from FotodioX allows a Nikon F-mount lens to be used with a Canon EF-M mount camera. It is designed to support focusing to infinity, and is constructed from brass and an aluminum alloy along with a stainless-steel lens mounting ring to provide a durable, yet lightweight camera-to-lens connection.

This adapter does not support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens. For Nikon F-mount, G-type lenses that lack a means to adjust apertures on the lens body itself, the Pro Lens Mount Adapter provides an aperture-control ring that couples with a compatible lens's aperture mechanism so that adjustments to brightness, as well as depth-of-field, can be made. That adapter aperture-ring can also be used alternatingly with a non-G type, Nikon F-mount lens's own aperture-control ring.

  • Allows a Nikon F-mount lens to be used with a Canon EF-M mount camera
  • Attached lens can focus to infinity
  • Brass and aluminum-alloy construction with stainless-steel lens mounting ring for durability
  • Locking mechanism for secure attachment of lens with push-button release
  • Integrated, aperture-control ring for Nikon F-mount, G-type lenses

God!

Very well built, but remember, it won't connect for focus.

The autofocus on Nikon is so bad that I decided to migrate to Canon M50. I wanted an option that would have allowed me to keep using my Nikon Lenses on my Canon M50. It works perfectly! It engages with the Nikon Lens like a globe. My only voice of warning to you, this adapter only connects your Nikon lens with your Canon M camera body, mechanically. It does not connect the necessary circuits to have autofocus.

when i put the adapter on to my canon M50 EOS and then the lens my camera wouldnt let me take a picture?
Asked by: cooper
Because the adapter doesn't directly communicate with the camera, the M50 thinks there's no lens attached. You have to adjust a setting to fix this. Make sure your camera is not in A+ (green auto) mode, go to Menu - Function Settings (page 5) - Custom Functions (C.Fn) - No. 3 C. Fn II: Others, Release shutter w/o Lens - set it to 1: Enable. The camera should fire now.

Will this work with a Nikkon Nikkor F Mount D Type Lens? "That adapter aperture-ring can also be used alternatingly with a non-G type, Nikon F-mount lens's own aperture-control ring." can you explain this as well?
Asked by: Brian
You are able to control the aperture ring on non-G type, Nikon F-mount lenses that don't have an aperture control ring.

question

Will it work with blackmajic production camer 4k
Asked by: Claudio F.
No I do not think so, the blackmagic camera has the standard Canon EOS EF lens mount interface which has a 44mm focal plane distance whereas the adapter you are looking at is for mounting to a Canon EOS M lens mount with a 18mm focal plane distance. You need to look for a different and slimmer adapter that is probably available from B&H e.g. Novoflex for Nikon F lens to Canon EOS EF lens mount.
