Once configured, this portable enclosure connects to your Windows, Mac, or Linux system via a USB 3.0 bus-powered port to back up data or provide extra storage space.

The CineRAID Home CR-H216 features three RAID modes with an easy dip-switch RAID setup for customizable speed and protection levels. CineRAID CR-H216 reviews

Dual Drive USB 3.1 Gen 1 Portable RAID Enclosure (UASP Support) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performance I was skeptical about a sub $100 raid enclosure but for the price and lack of competition I purchased it. I was blown away. I dropped 2 Samsung 850 EVO 1TB drives into it. Set the Raid switch to 0 and connected it to my mac. At first i thought there was an issue because I was only getting 80MB/s Read Write with the Blackmagic Speed Test. I ejected and tried again. OH BOY! I will let the screen shot tell the story. 1and 5 GB stress tests

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Connectors The device is fantastic. makes your data raid protected, and secure. so far no issues. Only concern is the mini USB connector on the Drive Case. probably too flimsy for such a device. it defeats the portability, specially the reliability of the connection.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from little disapointment for me got this to have a raid-0 solution for my final cut project. first i forgot to switch the button to raid0 inside the box. I just did it on the mac as seperate drive. and I got around 385mb write and 365mb read. wasn't happy with the result I start to check around and realize i did not switch the button. So I open it and switch the button and then shown as 1 drive and ask me to format the drive. after format and test it again. the result was worse, now it write at 370 and read at 335. my each single drive perform much better at 390 write and 370 read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as intended It recognized my drives, and transfers files just fine. Construction is surprisingly robust, with the aluminum center part being very sturdy, and the plastic ends working well enough. One recommendation to the manufacture, the USB cable provided with the unit is too thick for this small device. I had to purchase another USB cable that was for flexible for me to set it next to my laptop when working in tight spaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome little RAID drive solution Been looking for a small handheld RAID solution for sometime now. I found this little thing and it's been great! I have 2x 1TB 2.5 drives in RAID 1 (mirror) and I'm able to back-up and transfer all my pictures and confident I have a backup drive in case one fails. Easy access to drives makes it convenient to exchange drives as needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent RAID Enclosure Performance is superb and with it being busspowered makes it even more of an excellent product as others I have tried required a wall outlet in order to function. I have noticed an increase random read and write with the integration of UASP support. Build quality is really good for the money. Overall a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice device I put two older laptop drives in it. It ran hot on a usb3 computer until I attached the additional power cable. Usb2 laptop didn't provide enough power, so I used the power cable. I haven't run any speed tests. I plan to replace the 10 year old drives with ssd when one of them dies. It is used to backup my images from the computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Portable Drive Got this unit as a portable solution to take along and use with my laptop during onsite jobs. Very strong feel and sturdy design. The dip switch settings are easy to setup and start using the drive immediately. Would recommend for anyone looking for a reliable portable drive with RAID to protect your files.
