Konova K2 Camera Slider Overview

The 47.3" long Konova K2 Slider supports loads up to 39.6 lb and features roller bearings that provide smooth, stable, and quiet operation. The slider can be supported using a single tripod or a pair of tripods/stands thanks to 1/4"-20 threads located on the underside of the track and positioned at the center and at either end. Additionally, there are threaded holes at the sides of the slider that enable you to mount it vertically, for expanded creative possibilities. For ground-level shooting, a pair of height and angle-adjustable legs with rubber ball feet that screw into the sides of the slider are included.

The slider carriage features a 3/8"-16 mounting point for attaching a fluid head or ball head, while also offering two 1/4"-20 threaded holes should you want to mount your camera or an accessory on an articulating arm. The resistance of the carriage can be dialed to taste quickly using a red friction adjustment knob, or with more finesse using a wrench to adjust tension. A metric ruler running the length of the slider makes it easy to perform precise and repeatable camera movements. Should you wish to expand the system in the future, you can choose to add an optional crank handle kit or one of the motion controller options.

Konova K2 Camera Slider Reviews

Indestructible

I've had this slider since about 2016 and I've kept it in my arsenal as a backup, despite upgrading to bigger and beefier sliders to support my growing camera equipment. This thing just won't die and it deserves a review. I've taken it on road trips, it's been in dusty environments, banged up, dropped, put in rivers and it just keeps going. I've put stupidly heavy and unbalanced camera rigs on it (up to 30lbs) and the thing works like a trooper. I absolutely adore this thing & if you're someone like me who needs a small, lightweight tripod to take hiking while you've overloaded yourself with enormously overkill camera setups, this will be your best friend.

Well made.

I do real estate walk through videos and time lapses. The Konovo K2 is a nice slider for my work and I like how the motor hooks up to the unit, all nice and compact. I have used mine for a few years, no problems. Just keep it clean and treat it as an instrument, not a hammer, should last for years.

BEST ONE YET.

question

Does an FS7 with a canon 70-200mm is too heavy for that kind of slider?
Asked by: Maxime H.
This slider is rated for 39.6 lbs so it can easily handle the FS7 and a Canon 70-200mm (which together weigh about 9-12 lbs) plus a video head like the 5 lbs Manfrotto Nitrotech N12 Video Head B&H # MAVHN12AHUS, which handles up to 26.4 lb.

question

HI there! Could you please tell me, can i use this slider with a tripod? I got Benro. Thank you

Like all sliders, this Kenova is meant to be mounted on a medium to heavy duty tripod or other stand. The base of this 47.3 slider has three pairs of 1/4 and 3/8 screws in the base to allow you to do so. You should add the weight of the camera and slider, double it and your tripod should match that number in weight capacity. While short sliders and light cameras can safely use just one tripod/stand, as the slider gets longer and the cameras heavier, you must use two stands/tripods otherwise your shoot will stop short when the camera crashes to the ground.
