Leica Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 ASPH. Reviews
Almost Perfect
I've owned this lens for over 1 year and use it on a M11. It's my second favorite Leica Lens (my favorite:M 50mm APO f2.0). High Contrast Chromatic Aberration is why I rated this lens a 4. Yes, Lightroom often, but not always, makes CA easy to remove. Except for CA in high contrast photos, this lens is a 5+. The photos included are from the upper right corner and magnified 300%. Looking at the photo at 100% you really don't see the CA. So this lens should be rated a 4.75 with the CA issue being considered.
Oops! Lens is perfect
I goofed in my previous review, saying the lens would not accept 49mm screw-in filters. The lens does -- but not as described in the instructions that come with the lens. It turns out there is -- unidentified in the manual -- a retaining ring which can be unscrewed and removed, which then exposes the 49mm female thread for screw-in filters.
