The UCR100 Wireless Microphone Kit from B&H features a UHF UCR100 receiver, an LMb UHF beltpack transmitter, and an M152/5P lavalier microphone. It can be used to capture audio in video production with smaller DV camcorders in applications such as theater, live stage, houses of worship, and more.
The UCR100 receiver offers over 256 selectable frequencies over a 25.6 MHz band to avoid interference from local RF sources. The LMb beltpack transmitter uses selectable 25 or 100 kHz tuning steps for up to 3,072 selectable frequencies and is compatible with analog receivers. The M152/5P is an omnidirectional lav microphone that has a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
Lectrosonics 100 Series - UHF Portable Receiver (Frequency Block 23)
The Lectrosonic UCR100 is a compact wireless microphone receiver designed for easy, convenient operation with smaller DV camcorders, without sacrificing the quality that has become commonplace with Lectrosonic. The UCR100 offers over 256 selectable frequencies over a 25.6MHz band to avoid interference from local RF sources. Matching transmitters provide a full 100mW of output power, resulting in clean frequency transmission without virtually any dropouts.
In addition to the conveniently compact size of the receiver, an easy access audio output adjustment knob is located in the front panel. The UCR100 output operates nominally at 0dBv (line level), but use with microphone inputs on camcorders can be achieved with an optional adapter cable. Frequency selection is achieved via recessed rotary switches located on the side panel. The UCR100 is 9V battery powered and enclosed in a lightwieght, durable, machined aluminum housing.
The UCR100 boasts an incredible 256 selectable frequencies over a 25.6MHz band which is effective in avoiding local Radio Frequency interference.
Powerful Output Power
Lectrosonics features an impressive 100mW of output power, giving the system the ability to operate up to 1,000' or more without drop out, depending on conditions.
Flexible Output Impedance
The UCR100 features a line level (0dBv) output impedance, although interfacing with camcorder style mic inputs can be achieved with an optional cable.
Along with its compact design, the machined aluminum construction gives the unit its durability on the road and against the elements.
Lectrosonics LMb Digital Hybrid Wireless Beltpack Transmitter (B1: 537.600 to 614.375 MHz)
The LMb from Lectrosonics is a digital hybrid wireless beltpack transmitter with 75 MHz tuning bandwidth and 50 mW RF power. When paired with a mic and receiver, it can be used to capture audio for applications such as broadcast TV, theater, houses of worship, live stage, and more.
The LMb has several other features to help you obtain good clear audio, such as 25 or 100 kHz tuning steps, a compatibility mode to ensure analog receivers will work well with the transmitter, a microphone input allowing you to use mic or line level inputs. When combined with the optional MI39-type instrument interface cable (sold separately), the LMb transmitter can be used as a musical instrument transmitter for guitar, bass or portable keyboard.
In addition, the durable LMb transmitter is enclosed in machined-aluminum housing and is built with a fixed antenna. A multi-function toggle switch allows audio muting, power on/off, or talkback (when used with the SRb or Venue receivers). A LCD and membrane switch interface make the LMb transmitter easy to setup and simple to use. This transmitter operates on the B1 channel between 537.600 to 614.375 MHz.
The Lectrosonics M152/5P Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is highly sensitive, and features a wide frequency response that accentuates the presence and character of the human voice. The M150's frequency response is measured at 20Hz to 20kHz with a slight rise around 10kHz, resulting in a brighter, more "airy" response. A low frequency dip around 50Hz reduces noise caused by proximity effect and ambience. The omni-directional polar pattern provides a generous response at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. The M152/5P is compatible with any Lectrosonics beltpack with a TA5 connector.
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The omnidirectional polar pattern provides a generous pickup at the direct and indirect sections of the capsule. The omnidirectional pattern is less susceptible to handling and clothing noise.
Wide Frequency Response
The wide 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response features a slight rise around 10kHz. The high frequency rise enhances high frequencies of vocals, creating an "airy" response.
Compatibility with Lectrosonics Transmitters
The mic is compatible with any other Lectrosonics beltpacks with TA5 connectord
SmartNR: Off 103.5 (no limiting) 108.0 (with limiting) Normal: 107.0 (no limiting) 111.5 (with limiting) Full: 108.5 (no limiting) 113.0 (with limiting)
Note: The dual envelope "soft" limiter provides good handling of transients using variable attack and release time constants. Once activated, the limiter compresses 30+ dB of transmitter input range into 4.5 dB of receiver output range, thus reducing the measured figure for SNR without limiting by 4.5 dB
