Hand-woven from Peruvian wool and featuring full-grain Argentine cowhide, the Alpaca Wool Camera Strap from Cecilia Gallery holds a DSLR with an attached lens and features a Kuti Nawi geometric pattern. For carrying comfort, the strap has a wide 1.5" neck panel and adjustable black leather strap ends, which attach to the side lugs of your camera. The durable strap ends are comprised of a triple layer build and are rated for a 250 pound resistance, allowing this strap to accommodate bigger and heavier lenses. This 52" long designer strap features Zamac hardware, which is a durable zinc-alloy held to higher industry standards.
Natural Peruvian Alpaca Wool
Alpaca textiles and weaving are a heritage of Andean culture and Peruvian traditions. The straps help support local communities around Cusco, the Historical Capital of Peru. Alpacas have more than 20 natural colors, and the fibers of each hand-woven strap are slightly varied. The fiber will not readily absorb water, has a high tensile strength, is hypoallergenic, and the fleece is harvested each year without any harm to the alpacas.
Leather selected for the straps is full-grain Argentinean cowhide. The tanning process gives the leather its supple feel, deep color, and traditional aroma. Its full-grain structure provides strength and durability. The hides are finished in the USA with surface treatments that further protect the leather.
Nylon webbing runs through the ends of the triple-layered leather straps to reinforce strength and reliability. The woven webbing is sourced from mills in the USA. Polyester is used for additional padding.
