SW150/150x150mm SOLAR STOPPER FILTER (77mm & 95mm adaptor)

This Lee SOLAR STOPPER FILTER ( With 77mm Filter Ring Adaptor on the SW150 ) was not I expected to be as good as those compare to Kenko Pro ND100000 Stop or Marumi DHG 100000 ND ( All Made In Japan ) .This Lee SOLAR STOPPER FILTER is overpriced and not any way better than the said above Made In Japan Kenko or Marumi ND filter . So my best advice if you are spending this kind of money for a size from 77m to 95mm ,just go for screw-in filter either from Kenko ( Hoya) or Marumi that is Made and sold in Japan .

If you own the SW150 system, go with this filter!

This ND filter did the trick during the 2017 Great American Solar Eclipse. It's only downfall is that it turns the sun extremely Blue. I understand the light from the Sun is blue to begin with, but the Solar Glasses did not have that affect, in fact they made the Sun orange. To combat the color problem, I just converted the images to Black and White. The White light of the corona made the Black and White images match Total Eclipse.

question

is there a filter holder for this 150 x 150 filter that will fit on a Nikon 300mm f2.8G lens?
Asked by: Darcy
Unfortunately, no. The SW150 filter holder pairs with adapters for common front filter thread diameters and adapters custom-designed to fit onto select ultra-wide lenses. I admit I do not own a Nikon 300mm f/2.8G. My understanding is that they use 52mm drop-in filters. If there is an available empty drop in filter holder capable of holding third party filters, your best option would be to buy a 52mm solar filter and drop that in. If that is not possible, then your best bet for using that lens would be to try rigging a DIY means of holding this filter to the front or, prefereably, using a different lens compatible with some type of solar filter. Best of luck.
