How well do the batteries stay in this holder? How much motion can they handle before falling out?
Asked by: Michael L.
You should have no issue with the batteries remaining in this holder under normal use. If the gear is subjected to vibration intense enough to pop the battery out, you have bigger issues to deal with.

What does the back of this look like ? does it have any cables or bare leads? Any screw holes or mounting points? What exactly is it's purpose?
Asked by: Mark
I have the Sony NP-F version but I assume it's the same in design. The back doesn't have holes for screw mounting, but it does have 4 P-shaped slots that are meant to slide and lock onto tabs . As for the power output, it just has 2 metal strips about 1/8 in wide x 3/8 in long that are meant to press against contacts. You can remove the back (with 4 small phillips screws) and solder wires inside to the contacts. I drilled a small hole on the end near the battery contacts and ran a coaxial power cable that I soldered inside and I just used velco to attach it to my monitor. You could probably slide the head of a 2mm screw into the P-slots and have the threads pointing out of the back.
