I have the 3-Series Mach3 legset from Benro but wanted a 4 Series model to go with it that could go higher, and this one is perfect. This is well made, comes nicely packaged, a real bargain for the price. Benro makes fine products!

Bought this for use with OBEN gimbal and went oversize so as to promote stability etc This is an EXCELLENT tripod!! If using for Gimbal best to go one up in terms of weight so as to get good stability with setup Not scared with D850 and 500 mm lenses excellent product however heavy but knew the going in...

I am very impressed by how much I got for my money with this tripod. The tripod is sturdy and functional, and feels solid enough that it will last a long time. It even came with a very nice carrying case! If you're looking for an extra long tripod, this is a really great deal.

Sturdy Tripod

I was looking for a sturdy tripod for astronomical photography. This one is steady as a rock for my 8 pound camera and lens. The legs are are stout and sections lock securely. It is heavy, this is what makes it solid, but may not be ideal for carrying any distance. It would have been great if it had the monopod option.

My new favorite tripod

Other brands seem so clunky and complicated compared to this. It works. It's very stable and very tall. It's a little big too, but that was the point of getting it. It's very light for it's size. Will buy again if it ever fails.

Stout, perfect for the Gimbal and heavy lens cameras.

I did the classic mistake by purchasing a light weight, easy to carry tripod. In fact I did it twice. That is not the answer if you are using a heavy weight long range lens to get the reach you need to photograph wary birds and critters. This tripod does it right. Super tall for irregular ground use. Sturdy to handle wind and bad footing like rocks and loose soil. And without a doubt the most solid legs and twist fittings you will ever need. Buy it you will be glad you did.

Perfect

I was in need of a tripod that could handle not only weight but be tall enough for my use of a couple of steps. This is perfect!

Stout Tripod at a Great Price

Bought this for a matterport camera to be able to scan up to 7' and it does that like a charm. When collapsed it's still pretty long, but the sturdiness and height are what I bought it for and it's work perfect for that.

Hi, was wondering if one might be able to save some weight on long hikes when using this tripod with the short column instead of the center column. What is the weight of this tripod with the center column swapped out for the short column? Thanks:)
Asked by: Joshua
By using the short column for the Benro TMA47AXL Extra Long Series 4 Mach3 Aluminum Tripod, you would save a bit less than a pound in weight.

Just bought thusvtripod and impressed with the solid feel of it. Haven't put it to use yet other than put my big lens on it with a jobu head. Just wondering if any of the lenscoat leg protectors will fit and which ones? Thanks.
Asked by: Beverley Lu
I checked with Lenscoat and they said the Lenscoat LegCoat Wraps 518 would work. The Gitzo Series 4 & 5, 1.45-1.7", 18" length. I ordered them thru B&H and they do a good job. Occasionally they might slip down but can be retighten. The occasional slip isn't a big deal to me, I am pleased with them..
