Ideal for heavy cameras and lenses, the COM48C Combination Tripod from Benro has an impressive load capacity of 55.1 lb. Its 4-section flip-lock legs extend the base plate up to 52.6", and because there is no center column, the tripod's plate sits just 6.1" above the ground at its lowest setting. The flat mounting plate can be replaced with a variety of Benro accessories such as a leveling bowl, leveling base, or a geared center column. Swapping the plate out does not require the use of any tools.

The legs are made from 9-layer carbon fiber, maximizing the strength-to-weight ratio, contributing to the large load capacity of the COM48C. Both standard and oversized rubber feet are included to add stability on slippery surfaces. A ballast hook on the mounting plate allows the addition of a stabilizing weight, and a carrying case is included to protect the tripod during transport.

COM48C Combination Series 4 Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock solid stability with out the weight! Fantastic construction and very stable. The flip locks on the legs are adjustable to compensate for any wear over time and ensure the legs are locked up very tight. It's more than I would have liked to pay, but the quality and overall usability far outweighed any qualms I felt for the outflow of capital. This is a great tripod that I will have for a very long time. The ability to change out the platform to a bowl, either 75mm or 100mm, makes this part of a very versatile set up. The case is big enough to accommodate a head of your choice. I am currently using this with a Benro S8 Pro Video head and could not be happier with overall trans-portability and performance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I bought this tripod for my Varicam LT, and it was recently stolen and I'm buying it again. That pretty much says how good this thing is. It's very light, and can go low enough to function as a hi-hat type of tripod. Very stable, and can add a sandbag if you need it. Great peice of kit if your a run and gun cinematographer stealing shots around LA and NYC or outside of the US. Comes in a great bag. Just a word of caution, if you use a Benro head and a leveling bowl it is a little taller than the bag. So it is not super easy to fit inside the bag. It can be done, but just not easy. I've also thrown a heavy duty slider at this thing and it handled it like a boss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect travel slider/dolly tripod. I needed a tripod strong enough to handle up to 50 lbs weight and rigid enough to support a portable slider and travel jib... AND it needed to fold down to 20 inches. This folded to 20.5...and that turned out to be close enough to fit my travel video backpack. Now I have my video cam/led lights/slider/tripod all in a single portable backpack! I went with this one because it supported the addition of a 100mm bowl (sold separately) and had the clamp style legs instead of the twist. The thing is rock solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stability and Performance is tested with Time As you can see by my Rig I needed an upgraded Tripod system. So, Ive chosen the Benro COM48C because of its light weight but durable carbon fiber construction and its flip lock leg system. Then by changing out the platform to a 100mm bowl set up this gave me a very versatile rig. My set up is also accompanied with a Benro S8 Pro Video head that is supporting a Fotga Shoulder Rig. With everything that I'm adding to the top of this Benro video head and tripod I needed something that can hold up to the added weight, and still berigid enough to support my endeavors which this tripod does for me. As for the cost that is associated with the Benro COM48C, I strongly believe I made the better choice by purchasing this tripod system. I know if you are looking at buying a tripod you have already notice the big range in price placed on tripods of different makes and models. If you are going to slash cost in building your ideal set up, then I think by purchasing this tripod puts you at an advantage. I dont believe this tripod was too expensive to buy, comparing it to others that Ive researched. Dont go cheap on supporting you Camera system, it could end up in a disaster. I have a few tripods that I thought were good enough, until my camera hit the dirt because I wanted to save money. Once it ended up costing me an expensive lens. As for performance, only time will tell, but Ill tell you this, one day when I came home from work I notice that my Grandson throw his blanket over my rig, and before I could say anything, he looked at me smiled and called me over to sit with him in his cave. Remember the test of time, takes time, and I plan on keeping this tripod set up as my main go to rig, hopefully it wont let me down.
