Benro B5 overview

  • 1Description

Support up to 48.5 lb with the B5 Triple Action Ball Head from Benro. This standard ball head features separate locks for the ball movement and the 360° panning, as well as a friction control to adjust the amount of drag. The head is designed to fit on 5-Series Benro tripods, but will work on most tripods with a 3/8"-16 threaded mount. The included quick release plate is compatible with most Arca-type clamps. A 90° notch in the head allows you to easily adjust the camera to portrait orientation.

    Benro B5 reviews

B5 Triple Action Ball Head with PU85 Quick Release Plate is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Benro B5 I've been using the Benro B3 Ball head for a few years, and was happy with the quality and smooth operation. When I needed to replace the ball head on the camera stand in the studio, I decided to continue with Benro and go with the B5 (since it was a little larger and heavier). The B5 seems to work fine with everything we put on it. It operates smoothly and appears to be very well constructed. The only thing I dislike, is the friction/tension knob. It has no resistance on it, so it turns super easy allowing you to loose drag on the ball when not locked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended On a value for dollar basis this would be very hard to beat. The quality is very high and operation is smooth and well controlled. The thing is about the size and weight of a fire plug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large and locking This thing is the largest ball head Ive owned - though just for a couple of weeks.  It works, and locks down tightly without much effort.  not overpriced.  I expect to get some good steady use from this.  Note - this is a larger ball head and is probably overkill for small SLRs with short focal length lenses.
