Induro GIT403 overview

  • 1Description

Optimized for the highest level of stability and utilizing a flat modular magnesium alloy platform, Induro's GIT403 Grand Series 4 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod will provide many users with the ability to create their ideal setup, whether they need a leveling base, double-sided gear column, or video bowl. This version can hold up to 66.1 lb of equipment along with the ability to reach up to 53.3" in height. Also, due to the lack of a center column, it reaches down to 5.5".

Each leg is divided into 3 sections and they feature half-turn twist locks for fast adjustments. Portability is maintained as well with a folded length of 25.0". Each tripod also comes with an aluminum top plate with a hard anodizing, oversized weight hook, and a set screw for locking down your tripod head. Additionally, a carrying case is included for convenience.

    Induro GIT403 reviews

GIT403 Grand Series 4 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking for a GREAT Tridod? Look no more! I was foolish in believing I needed a Gitzo for my 500 F4. So i ordered a series 5 for over 0ne thousand USD. It was delivered and i started playing. The same day I requested an RMA from B&H. Sure it had all the Glitzo and well made, BUT....... It was heavy too tall for me and it was not as stable as i thought it would be. I bought it from BH used dept. so i had no choice in the height or weight. It was the 3section series five. One of the best they make. Well to make this short, I ordered the one mentioned and holy cow what a difference. For half the amount, I got a lighter, shorted and STRONGER set of sticks. I must say they are machined extremely well and come with a nice array of standard accesssories. Like a bag and leg cushions. I was foolish for not getting this tripod in the first place. My smaller type two Induro was just too light duty for the D500 and the 200-400 or 500mm lens. My technicque has improved greatly with the use of the 403. Like all the other wildlife photographers say if you own heavy stuff and put it on a cheap tripod, you are spitting into the wind. This is the one you will have forever. Light enough for everyday and strong enough for the big guns. Hope this helps your decision. RSC

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tripod Ever... I'm a large format film photographer. I shoot 8x10 film. My camera weighs 20 pounds. It's also quite bulky which can make it a challenge to mount on a traditional tripod. I spent $2,000 on a wooden tripod that weighed 25 pounds. It was very sturdy, but not practical for hiking with. I started to look at carbon fiber tripods as they are very sturdy and lightweight. Many fellow photographers told me I "had to buy a Gitzo". After weeks of comparing and reading other reviews, I decided to go with this as it has a 90mm apex, which was very important to mount the large tripod head to. Also, I was not crazy about the idea of twist locks at first as all I have had in the past was flip locks. Lastly, I wasn't too sure about the feet that were shown in the photo. I wanted standard rubber feet. When the tripod arrived, I have to say, I was blown away! Just the way it was packaged I could tell this was top notch, and it was about a third of what the Gitzo was going to cost! I registered it online and extended the warranty to 10 years. The tripod came with the standard rubber feet already installed. There was a pouch in the tripod case (another great feature included) for spike feet or the orbital feet that is shown in the photo. The twist locks are made out of rubber and are very heavy duty. The tripod even came with leg cushions attached! I have mounted my camera to this tripod and it is ROCK SOLID. If you are on the fence about getting this vs a Gitzo, take my word for it, this is a great product for the price. Gitzo has a name, Induro has the performance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from stepping up the game 4 1/2 stars! 4 1/2 star!! moving up from a used carbon fiber tripod by OSN. Found this tripod brand at a local store in SF . was impressed by weight and size. since i have EDU discount ill try a B&H delivery. Nice! my first impression right a way . easy to set the tri pod head with the clip on head thats pretty cool ! size is great can go large ! or low havnt gone low yet. but i did shoot some pretty stable footage witha c100 mkii and 100-400 with 2x extender .and 502 manfrotto. i did not use a leveler so tweaking the height was a challenge to find even settings..* there is and add on ,of course there is! so twist and sliding with attached gear is a little nerving but not that bad..maybe add ball attachment down the line but these legs are awesome!! pros super easy head attachment light weight 10 year warranty cons leg adjustments use twisty locks (if using a ball head or leveler no big deal!) no spreader (no deal breaker for me!) no hot pink colors (sorry barbie)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod ! I've only used it a little but it seems very sturdy for my Nikon 750 and my Nikon 200mm - 500mm lens. It came with three sets of feet and a nice bag. Very satisfied.
