    Induro CLT303L reviews

CLT303L Classic Series 3 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Durable, AND Sticky Main legs This tripod is a disappointment. Bought for photo shoots and the occasional video shoot, it is 18 months old and has been used in clean conditions. It's done about sixty shoots - less than 200 hours. From the get get go the upper legs were sticky, requiring a tug to get the leg to release from the fully retracted position. I put up with this because the cost of the tripod was quite reasonable and it is sturdy. This week one of the legs came right out, the locking mechanism failed. Luckily when I put it back it still locked, so I was able to complete the shoot. I will send it in for repair but will I buy another Induro? I don't thinks so.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy: cheap inside plastic parts, falls apart I have been using this tripod for the last 6 months, for outside shoots primarily (landscape/cityscapes); while I shoot daily, this was not the only tripod I have been using (1 of 3), so I'd say it was moderate use overall. This morning during an outside shoot when I was readying the tripod and extending the legs, one of the legs came off, apparently the cheap inside plastic parts broke. See attached photo. Those inside pieces that keep the leg from extending all the way are apparently made of cheap and very brittle plastic. For a tripod that costs almost $500 dollar I expect only the highest quality parts and certainly more durability (Induro doesn't endure that long!). Very disappointed in this product and frankly will not buy again from this manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid piece of equipment I am 6'2 and was looking for a quality tripod that I could use in the field without having to constantly stoop down to look through my viewfinder but was still light enough to carry in my pack. This tripod is the perfect height with the legs completely extended and is virtually identical in weight to my older aluminum tripod that is over a foot shorter than the Induro CLT303L. At this point I have only had it out a couple of times but I can say that it performed flawlessly in over 4 hours of -15F temperatures shooting the Aurora in Alaska. The real test will be that it holds up well for the long term, but from my initial use I have seen no indications that it won't. So far I am very pleased with my purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality, Professional Tripod In full disclosure I ended up returning this item, not because it wasn't an excellent tripod, but because it was slightly too short for me (I'm 6'3). How impressed was I with the quality? Well after getting my hands on the Induro CLT303L and realizing it was slightly short, I'm going to purchase the Induro CLT404L. The tripod came packaged inside a very robust, soft-sided case. Inside the case the tripod was also covered by a light weight, draw string dust bag. Also inside the case was a shorter center column (about 4) and a tool kit which contained all the tools needed to adjust the tripod in the field and a set of spiked feet. I really appreciate it when manufactures include these extras with professional grade equipment. As for the tripod itself I found it very quick to deploy with the twist locks and easy to lock it in solidly. I'm a big fan of the hook under the center column for hanging some extra weight (backpack) to help keep things steady. Overall a great looking tripod that feels very solid. Obviously I can't comment on field use or longevity but I still wanted to share my thoughts and will write a more in depth review after I've used the CLT404L for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value, would by again The Induro CLT303L is a terrific, feature packed tripod at a reasonable price point. This tripod costs about half what a Gitzo of the same size costs and is a very worthy competitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to recommend This is a sturdy, well thought out product. Pairs perfectly with my Mongoose 3.6 gimbal head and NIkon 200-500mm lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensibility! Love this Tripod. I use it with a RRS B-55. Went back and forth back and forth between Gitzo and Induro to the obvious conclusion that Induro has made their point loud and clear. Of course it's the price point that made the difference. When you look at the build differences, or similarities between Induro and others, its just too obvious. Light, strong, easy to use. I can go all day in the field with this setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WONDERFUL ! This Induro Tripod is absolutely wonderful. It's strong and can hold my camera with a 600mm lens on it. So easy to use and set up. I'm so pleased with it.
