  • 4588 Speed Lock 75 CF Tripod w/ 75mm Bowl

The Sachtler 4588 Speed Lock 75 carbon fiber tripod with 75mm levelling bowl supports up to 44.1 lb (20kg). Speed Lock tripods feature traditional dual-tube design with a twist- three leg clamps instead of six for rapid setup to catch fast breaking news.

Note: Rubber feet and mid-level spreader are sold as an optional accessory

Speed Lock system for rapid leg extension
Carbon fiber leg tubes absorb vibration, are stronger than steel, and lighter than aluminum.

  • Mid-Level Spreader 75 with Rubber Foot Set

Unlike a ground spreader, the Mid-Level Spreader 75 with Rubber Foot Set from Sachtler enables you to set your tripod's legs at individual heights. This adjustable spreader is especially useful when positioning the tripod on surfaces of varying heights, including stairs and other stepped platforms. Fasten the included rubber feet (set of three) over the tripod's leg spikes to provide secure footing on flat surfaces.

The Mid-Level Spreader 75 is compatible with all Sachtler 75mm tripods except Flowtech, SOOM, Ace M MS 1001 and Ace L TT 1013 systems, and ENG 75/2 D HD.

Sachtler SST10P1700 reviews

Speed Lock 75 CF Tripod and Mid-Level Spreader Set is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Admittedly this is my first video tripod after stepping up from some very nice Manfrotto gear meant for still photography, so some obvious things like the ball head attachment are a great improvement. But most amazing to me is how STABLE this tripod is, even when holding a slider, camera and lens that top out at a little more than 12lbs. Even with the slider extended to its extreme point, the tripod shows no sign of failing. And it's insanely light and easy to set up. Looking forward to taking this one on the road.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very disappointed in Sachtler.... I've been a long term user of Sachtler products over my 35 year career and can honestly attest to having put them thru every form of testing on the planet. From slumping a system 20 through the wilds of Antarctica to having them fully submerged in the rivers of Borneo for weeks on end. Some times other name brands came along for the ride and in some ways were sort of left wanting.. not by a lot, but enough for me to advise my network to keep with Sachtler. For the last year I've carried the fsb8 with the Speed Lock 75 CF legs as a set of "C" sticks for various other light weight cameras. Until one day the legs just began to collapsed. One after the other the locks all expired. This was not good. They were disassembled on the road and things were greased, tightened, loosened, chocked etc. back to life it was brought. Until a number of months later after a full service from the dealer, low and behold they began to slip and slide again. They were instantly replaced by a set of Millers one of the assistants had for his personal gear. On analyses we wondered had it been over weighted, but no, nothing heavier than an fs700 was run on it and mostly a dslr for timelapse work. Dropped?. Beaten?, flogged within an inch of its life?... nope. They didn't have a scratch on them. After some searching on the web and talking to some 'brothers in arms' it appears that the braking mechanism is just sadly flawed. Sad. The speed lock is good in theory but when it lets go... every thing goes!! I can only cringe at the thought of the heavier and more expensive A cam being on a larger set of legs using this system. Actually any vital piece of equipment really. The fsb8 head on the other hand is an absolute trooper and works brilliantly with the Miller legs. But I would not trust these legs for any piece of kit other than maybe as a coffee holder... maybe. Be warned...
