ABBYY FRLSSRFW11E overview

  • 1Description

The ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11 can turn any image content captured from your screen into editable formats so you don't have to retype everything. This makes it easy to use in digital documents, emails, or reports that you've created or edited. It can handle more than 180 languages with accurate recognition. You can also create your own "snapshots" of images and texts from opened documents, file menus, Web pages, presentations, Flash content, or PDF files with just several clicks.

Features

Image Screenshots
You'll be able to create screenshots and save them as images, which you can share with friends and family. You can also use them in presentations, training materials, and other various documents. While taking a screenshot, you have a choice of capturing a selected area of the screen, the full screen (print screen key), or the entire desktop. The Timed Screen is an advanced function that will let you take a screenshot with a 5-second delay
Text Screenshots
If you want to grab some text from an image file, a website, a presentation, or a PDF, you can quickly turn text areas into editable text. The editable text can then be pasted directly into an open application, a Microsoft Word document, or a Excel spreadsheet
User-Friendly Tools
The program's main screen allows to choose an area for the screenshot and an output format. Screenshot reader can be set up to launch automatically at each start up and will be always by your hand
Variety of Saving Formats
Screenshots can be used for different tasks and you might need them in different saving formats. ABBYY Screenshot Reader lets you save Image Screenshots in JPEG, Bitmap or PNG formats. Text Screenshot can be saved as editable texts in .RTF, .TXT, .DOC or .XLS formats
ABBYY OCR Technology
The ABBYY Screenshot Reader is powered by ABBYY OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology. OCR uses intelligent algorithms that convert images into editable text, preserve the original layout, and format of the initial document

Convert to Editable Formats

Cut Out a Piece of Text from a Graphic File
Screenshot Reader helps to extract text from brochures and leaflets that are only available as graphics. All you need is to select a piece of text and then it will automatically open as editable information in Microsoft Word
Save Lists from a Website into an Excel File
Learning foreign language and need to gather the words you study from a website into an Excel file? Let Screenshot Reader do the job, instead of manually cutting and pasting each word. Or if you are going to buy another product, you can easily export the reseller list from a Web page into an Excel table
Insert Information into a Report
Sometimes texts which you need are not so easy to access. You may want to insert some statistical data from a website into a sales presentation, or a text passage from a 200-page PDF report or article into your dissertation. Simply select the quote you need and ABBYY Screenshot Reader will convert it into truly editable text. The extracted text can be copied to clipboard, saved as Microsoft Word or Excel documents or inserted directly into open applications

Screen Capture

Capture Part of a Screen & Share with Friends
You can capture it and mark certain parts of the screen with the ABBYY Screenshot Reader. Then you can send it as an image by email, by instant message, or just store it on your computer
Send a Screenshot of an Error Message to Technical Support
Simply capture the program's error message along with system information and send it to technical support via email
Insert a Screen Image in a Presentation, Report, or Other Documents
With the ABBYY Screenshot Reader, you can prepare small images for your presentations and other documents. Open the image, create the screenshot, copy it to the clipboard, and then paste it into the document or PowerPoint presentation
Use Screenshots to Compile Instructions & Guides
The ABBYY Screenshot Reader is a useful tool for the everyday work of technical writers or system administrators. It allows you to create illustrations for instructions in programs, manuals, and guides
