The MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast Receiver from Black Box receives multicast HDMI video over an IP network and delivers it to a remote display for faster, more efficient HD content distribution. This receiver is intended for use with the MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast Transmitter (sold separately). It can receive video from a distance of 328', but the signal can go even longer when additional network switches are added. You can even use fiber with media converters to go several miles if needed. The signal is completely digital from end to end, so your digital content is never compromised.
There is no need to configure any IP settings; use the rotary switches to set the transmitter (sold separately) and receivers to the same multicast channel, and all IP multicasting settings will be automatically configured.
This receiver is ideal for distributing digital signage content, or other HD video and audio, across an Ethernet network. Integration is easy because the transmitter and receivers install directly into your existing LAN infrastructure.
Lossless Compression for HD Extension
The MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast system features IGMP support and packetizes signals so that all your HD source content can be delivered anywhere you want over Ethernet wiring.
Multiple Configuration Possibilities
The MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast system works in point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configurations. Just plug in as many receivers as you need at your remote screens. From one transmitter, you can have 16 different multicast groups to multiple receivers in multicast mode.
Visually Lossless Compression
It receives broadcast-quality video and audio, and supports full 1080p resolution, as well as all common PC resolutions (XGA, SXGA, UXGA, WSXGA) up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, regardless of distance and number of receivers in your setup.
Optimal PC-to-Screen Performance
The MediaCento features EDID-copy function and is HDCP-compliant
Supports RS-232 for configuration and control, and for extending bidirectional control signals. Use this serial link to switch screens on or off.
Using a PoE network switch completely eliminates the need for external power supplies, making the installation even easier.
Multicast Video to Screens in a Video Wall Setup
It allows you to assign source video to any screen in a video wall. The MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast system supports customizable monitor array sizes for any video wall setup or application. Configure a wall for multiple rows and columns. You just need one transmitter and up to 64 receivers for an 8 x 8' wall. Each receiver scales and outputs the correct part of the picture for its video wall display.
Comes with lockable power and HDMI connectors for increased reliability.
