With a 21mm equivalent focal length and an extremely fast f/0.95 maximum aperture, the Nokton 10.5mm f/0.95 Lens from Voigtlander offers Micro Four Thirds users a wide-angle lens well-suited for low-light still photography and video. The lens utilizes a pair of aspherical elements to reduce aberrations and distortions, as well as maintain a compact form factor. This manual focus, manual exposure prime lens also features the Selective Aperture Control System, which permits switching between a stepless, de-clicked aperture selection method and a traditional aperture control method with click stops. When set to the stepless setting, silent and smooth exposure adjustments can be made that are especially beneficial when recording video.

Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 Nokton Aspherical Reviews
Ok, but the focus ring stiffens over time.
I bought this one back in 2017 and it has been an ok lens. Since video cameras have improved in low light performance nowadays, the f-stop on this one isn't as impressive as it was back then. This is a nice lens with an acceptable amount of distortion for it's width. One thing that has not aged well over time is the focus ring. I use a lot of vintage lenses and modern ones with manual focus, and this is an anomaly- but the focus ring has gotten stiff over time. I have seen this on some 30-40-50 year old lenses I use, but this is the only modern one where the lubricant seems to have hardened over only a couple of years. I can warm it a bit and move it back and forth repeatedly to alleviate it, but it generally returns to a stiffness that doesn't make it easy to pull focus. On the other hand I also use a 25mm slr magic that's 100% manual and it's still a dream- that I bought around the same time. A lens of this price and caliber shouldn't need to be serviced like it's an antique. The aperture ring is perfect though. I keep these lenses indoors in a climate controlled environment and it has not been abused.
Worth every penny
exceptional lens. Does not get any better than this. Super-duper at wide open..
