The AEG12II from Ibanez is a full-sized acoustic/electric guitar made from mahogany with a natural high-gloss finish. The slender, single-cutaway body delivers a powerful and balanced acoustic sound. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band.
The AEG12II is constructed with a mahogany top, back, sides, and neck. The body has a high-gloss finish, while the neck has a smooth satin finish for a comfortable feel, and chrome die-cast tuners. The fingerboard and bridge are both made of rosewood. Other decorative features include an abalone soundhole rosette and ivory body binding.
For electronics, the guitar is equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup, and an Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp with controls for volume, treble, middle, bass, phase, as well as an onboard tuner. The AEG12II comes set up with D'Addario EXP-16 coated phosphor bronze, light strings.
