Intel SSDSC2BW120A4K5 Overview

The 120GB 530 Series Internal Solid State Drive (Retail) from Intel features a 120GB storage capacity in a reduced size form factor. This 2.5" drive is 7mm thick, making it a well suited storage solution for a variety of devices from desktop computers to laptops, Ultrabooks, tablets, and more.

With data read speeds of up to 540 MB/s and data write speeds of up to 490 MB/s, you can transfer your files quickly and efficiently. This SSD can also serve as an ultra-fast bootable drive, greatly reducing the time it takes to start up your computer. Additionally, the Intel 530 Series SSD consumes far less power than comparable SSDs and hard disc drives allowing you to go longer periods of time between charges.

Included with this 120GB Intel 530 Series SSD is an adapter so that this 7mm drive may properly fit into 9.5mm drive bays, and a desktop computer installation kit. The desktop computer installation kit allows this SSD to be used in a desktop system and is made up of a 3.5" adapter bracket and screws, as well as SATA III 6 Gb/s signal and power cables.

This 530 Series SSD is designed to be used in Ultrabooks, traditional desktops, laptops, tablets, and other small form factor mobile systems as it offers reliable performance with reduced power consumption.
Power Efficient Performance
The Intel SSD 530 Series SSD accelerates platform performance with support for random read speeds of up to 540MB/s and random write speeds of up to 490MB/s as well as the ability to reach 41,000 IOPS input and 80,000 IOPS output respectively. In addition to enhanced transfer speeds, the 530 Series SSD provides extended battery life through new lower power modes. Idle power consumption has been reduced by up to 90% in comparison to a typical hard disc drive reducing power from watts to milliwatts. Couple the SSD with a 4th-generation Intel Core-based platform to further reduce power consumption from milliwatts to microwatts.
